Context: Your hand was promised to the Vampire King Lothaire after your father failed to deliver on a promise, and, after a rough journey, you found yourself in love with your King, even willingly marrying him. You have given birth to twins, and your husband marches to war with the nation that cost you your leg. A war began between your nation and Edelweiss, with the Mad Queen Iniu setting her sights on you. She's devastated your allies, threatened your family, and the desperation made you accept a deal with a demon from another world. Iniu was forced to run after a humiliating defeat, but she didn't come alone. It's time to end this.

[Scene opens in the burning city of Everfall]

[SFX: A very big robot moving about]

[You, Lothaire, your children and Henry all sit within the cockpit of Busboy, the atmosphere grim as you step through a massive portal into Everfall]

[L] “Gods above… The city is in ruin, and Iniu, dense mutton that she is, had her entire army march on Edelweiss. She’s crippled herself…”

[Pause]

[SFX: The radio buzzing]

[A] “Gem. Our resistance is marching upon the castle. Our inside sources stated that she is alone… abandoned, it seems, and partially crushed by her own armor. I plan on engaging with Veil.”

[Pause]

[L] “Yes, what do you need us to do, Angel?”

[A] “Pray.”

[The radio cuts off and you step back, exhaling]

[L] “Gem…? Gem, you’re glowing! You glow with the same eerie blue flame that that young woman who smacked Iniu about, what is-?! By the gods… The streets are filling with that same flame, are… are those souls?!”

[Pause]

[L, almost horrified] “Gem, no… If… If you are doing necromancy like this, you… you cannot be turned into a vampire! You can have no more children!”

[Pause]

[L] “N-No, I… I know this is necessary, but… but I’d planned…”

[SFX: A eruption from the castle and the radio buzzing again]

[I] “GET OUT! GET AWAY FROM ME! No no no, you filthy peasants! Calling upon one of the Witches to do your dirty work?!”

[A] “You appear to take no issue with getting assistance from dark, supernatural creatures, Queen Iniu. Now, you might notice the massive parade of souls marching across your city, all the way up to this very room. These, my dear, are the souls of every person you murdered in cold blood. Every single person that wishes to have a word. Now… Put your fists up, because I’m about to start hitting you and I’m really not sure when I’ll stop.”

[SFX: Blaring energy]

[I] “F-Fine. FINE! I have NO issue beating you into the ground!”

[SFX: Combat of a steampunk/magical variety]

[L] “Should we step in to help?”

[Pause]

[Something is wrong, and you quickly spin around and send a magical blast inches from your husband’s wing]

[L] “Gem! That magical blast nearly hit my wing!”

[A new voice laughs and Lothaire spins around to face a face that fills you with bile. Rupin’s archmage, Cicutta, the man that took your leg. The Devil of Everfall]

[S] “Well… You’re a lot more fiery than when I watched you take your leg off, pet. Gosh, it’s been… years, hm? Hmhm. That magical blast really hurt. It’s fortunate that your bulldog of a fancy-talking husband isn’t-HRK!”

[Lothaire grabs the man by the throat, speaking through grit teeth]

[L] “Oh, her bulldog of a fancy-talking husband is MORE than capable of seeing past your little illusions, mage. Darling, would you please make sure Lapis and Lazuli don’t see or hear this?”

[You dutifully take your babies and cover their ears as Lothaire stomps toward one of the furnaces to power Busboy’s steam functions]

[L] “A fun fact for you, mage. Steam doesn’t burn quite the same as fire. You see, with fire, your nerves eventually deadan, which helps with the agony. Steam burns… do not. I want you to remember what you did for every FUCKING second you’re in there, writhing in agony! Oh, and, by the way… a five foot tall girl has stronger magic than you.”

[With that, he wrenches open the hatch and stuffs the poor mage inside, slamming and locking it as the faint screams fade away agonizingly slowly]

[SFX: Radio buzzing]

[I] “NO! Where is Sev?! What did you do to-?! HRK!”

[SFX: More combat]

[A] “The Devil’s magic is fading! I don’t know what you two did, but you’ve given us the opportunity we need!”

[You and Lothaire exchange uneasy looks, glance at the smoldering hatch, then look away]

[L] “Good, Angel. We’ve dealt with it on our side. What do you need from us?”

[A] “The Drowned Prince is coming! Guide him here, and let’s FINISH THIS!”

[L] “Understood! Gem, I need to be out there!”

[Pause]

[He smiles gently and kisses your crown]

[L] “I will be safe… I promise. And I love you, with every single bit of me. A-And the seats you designed for Lapis and Lazuli are adorable.”

[Pause]

[L] “Aye, love. I’ll be home soon.”

[With that, he opens the side door in Busboy’s skull and flies quickly outward and up over the castle]

[L] “Over here, you colossal bastard!”

[SFX: A deafening rumble]

[You angle Busboy to protect the innocents trying to flee Everfall from the immense tidal wave as the Drowned Prince arrives]

[SFX: The radio system buzzing violently]

[I] “...T…Tevras! Oh, my baby! My son! I knew you’d come home one day! Oh, sweetie, it’s OK, we’ll find a fix to this curse, I swear it!”

[SFX: More buzzing and a new, ragged voice coming through]

[T] “Do not… lie to my face, mother… You brought this on me, you brought nothing but ruin and pain to Everfall, BEYOND Everfall! Enslaving automatons with human souls! Torture! Genocide! Even sending your own fucking army in as sacrificial fodder! And, worse still, you had the fucking NERVE to throw the love of my life to the maelstrom in Rasan?! No. No more. You’re FINISHED!”

[I] “T-Tevras, no, you know it’s not-!”

[Tevras, the true King of Everfall, lets out one last violent snarl]

[T] “As the true King of Everfall, I will never, EVER let you hurt anyone EVER AGAIN!”

[Even from a distance, you can feel the sheer scale of the sea beast’s presence as it lifts a tentacle larger than even the castle. The last thing you hear before it comes down is:]

[I, whimpering] “Sev… help me.”

[SFX: A massive collision and quake]

[The tentacle comes down and you hear Iniu scream for a disturbingly long time before the Drowned Prince’s body goes limp, sliding back out into the sea silently]

[Pause?!]

[SFX: More radio buzzing]

[A] “We are alive, my friend. We… We are alive!”

[You tumble back, dazed, right into your husband’s arms]

[L] “Gem! Gem!!! We have won! Mmh, no, you’re kissing me right now, mmh, gods, mmh, you’re divine, I just want to take you right-! What? Oh, I used a portal spell to get back here, but are you seriously questioning that right now?!”

[A] “Calm down, Muscles. The radio broadcast is still open.”

[L] “You know what? I do not care! Look, Lapis, Lazuli, look at your mother. Know what true bravery looks like. What a true Queen looks like. Our Queen of Wraiths.”

[You hug him. You hug your children. You hug Henry. The sound of celebration rings out across Everfall]

[Angel speaks over the radio once more]

[A] “We are fortunate Veil and her harem found you when they did, Prince Tevras”

[T, panting] “Aye… If my love hadn’t been there.. I would have lived up to my name and drowned once more. Oh, come here, darling… Mmh. You have no idea how badly I’ve wanted to kiss you this last year. These many long years, I should say. Finally… Finally, I can spend every moment with you. I can call Rupin at home at long last, see my little brother, see this kingdom as something to be proud of. Angel, I hope you will consider being an Advisor?”

[A] “I will. For now, I think we have all earned a celebration. Shall we all meet in the ruins of the Bristled Hare for some drinks?”

[L] “I’d like nothing more. Oh, Lapis and Lazuli will be fine around a bit of alcohol, so long as Henry doesn’t get in the mead again. Don’t glare at me, you rainbow oaf, you’re the one that was drunk for near two days.”

[You don’t move. Lothaire doesn’t either]

[L] “...do you think we could stay a little longer? I want to hold you. Cherish you.”

[Pause]

[He smiles, wrapping his wings around you. Around your little family]

[L] “Meeting you was the best thing to ever happen to me, my Gem. And every day I get with you will be another memory I will savor like a sweet wine. Know now, know truly, that you are exactly what you said you were when we met: a true patriot. The perfect wife and mother.”

[He leans down, pausing before he kisses you again]

[L] “The Queen… of Wraiths.”

Afterthought: Nothing… for now <3 There will be an afterthought. It’s also worth noting you’ll see the other sides of this battle via three different series, so hopefully that’s exciting :3
