[Scene opens in a max security prison, in the viewing room for executions]

[SFX: Footsteps on stone and a chair squeaking]

[One of the guards guides you into the witness room and helps you sit. You can’t see anything, but you can hear your fiance clearly… even though you shouldn’t be able to as he is sat in the electric chair]

“Well… If it isn’t the love of my life. Fashionably late as always, hm? Haha, I kid, I kid. You look good, babe! That mourning veil is real nice on you!”

[Your fiance smiles broadly at you from the electric chair and winks]

“Afraid I don’t look quite as nice as you do, my sweet lil puddin’ pop. Sweeter than potato pie, all dolled up to watch me die. Hey babe! You think my eyes will blow out when they hit the trigger?”

[He laughs, cracking himself up, per usual]

“Ow! Aww, c’mon, Danny boy, I’m about to be fried more than the greasy chicken you bring for lunch every day. Gotta diversify your diet, you know? You’ll never get rid of that little pudge balancing over your belt.”

[SFX: A harsh thud and the Speaker cackling]

“Ooh, damn… Touchy, touchy, just a little joke, Danny boy! Hm? Do I want to hear a joke? Course I do, my friend! I love me a good joke.”

[He winks at you through the glass and you watch as the annoyed guard snaps at him. His smile wanes the more the guard talk until his eyes are cold and alien]

“...Danny boy. I know you aren’t talking about my sunshine with such nasty terms. C’mon now, you know there’s a code when it comes to this sort of thing. You don’t mock a dying man’s love, especially not for being blind.”

[Pause]

[His smile has completely gone at this point]

“... Giving you one last chance, Danny boy. Dan Dan, Dan my bestest, closest, DEADEST friend! And I know you didn’t mean blind as in “blind for not seeing my many faults”, you were mocking their disability! Hmph. And you call me the monster.”

[Pause]

“Yeah, yeah, with the kill count. “Sammy, you’re a psychopath! Sammy, how could you have killed all those people! Sammy, stop chewing on the extension cords!”.”

[Pause]

“Hey! Those extension cords were asking for it!”

[Your fiance is strapped into the chair by very annoyed guards and he laughs casually]

“Oof, no damned patience on these ones. C’mon, boys, do me one favor and let me talk to my little soulmate, yeah? Say goodbye and all.”

[One of the guards hits the intercom button so you can hear him more clearly]

“Hey there, sweetheart. Ahh. Now, I know, I know, don’t you cry for me, OK? I’ve made sure you and the little one will be plenty taken care of after I’m fried and laid to rest. Or sent to burn in Hell, hehe. Either way, you and our little bundle of joy will be just fine, alright?”

[Pause]

[You can hear the smile in his tone, soft and gentle]

“I love you, sunshine. Go on now, plug those sweet little ears. I don’t want you hearing this.”

[You obey]

[He cracks his neck and rolls his shoulders a few times before he says:]

“Alright, boys. Roast me!”

[SFX: The electric chair going off followed quickly by the power shutting down]

[G] “Oh god-!”

[G2] “HE’S LOOSE-!”

[SFX: Absolute bloodshed and massacre]

[You sit in the chaos as the alarm blares above, calm. The ocean of blood around your feet ripples and he rises slowly from it, right into your arms]

“There we are… Let me just rise on up from this ocean of blood. Oh, sweet little thing, c’mere.”

[He pulls you close, kissing our crown sweetly]

“You OK, love? I tried to time it so you didn’t hear as many…gruesome noises, this time…”

[Pause]

“Oh, my paradise… I’m sorry. I know you don’t care for any of this…”

[His voice softens as he brushes the hair from your face]

“One day… One day, I won’t be like this. I won’t be this… thing. This vampiric…whatever the Hell that investigator called me before I bit her in two… I won’t be a monster, and all of my time will be with you, every second!”

[Pause]

“Ah, love, I know you say you don’t mind…But having to come to places like this, having to be on standby just so I can get my… fix. It’s no kind of life for a sweet thing such as yourself.”

[Pause?]

[He chuckles]

“Well, I mean, I’m not letting you go if I can help it. I love you more than anything in this universe, but I’m also a selfish bastard that wouldn’t know what to do if I didn’t wake up next to you.”

[Pause]

“Hmhm. C’mere, my bonnie little love! Let good ol’ Sammy here pick you up, nice and tight, and carry you out over the threshold.”

[Pause]

[He wraps his arms around your waist and pulls you to his blood-drenched form]

“So cute… Mmh. Even cuter with this little bundle of joy growing in that cute little tummy of yours.”

[Pause?]

“What, you thought I was jokin’ about us having one on the way? Haha, love, you’re so cute. You’ll be a little Mommy.”

[Pause]

[He chuckles, keeping you close as he wades through the incredible amount of blood spilled in the prison]

“Shite… I’m used to small local prisons when it comes to food. This big ol’ max security prison had a lot more people than I expected. Ah well. Just means I won’t have to eat for at least… fucking maths, ah… three years! Enough time to settle back at the manor, get things ready for our little one here, enjoy some peace… We can find a babysitter for next time we go out to “party”.”

[Pause?]

“Oh, honey, I know. I’ll do my best not to feed on any good people.”

[...]

“Well… I’m sure there were some innocent men in there but, hey, they were due for the chair as well. If anything, my method was more merciful.”

[...]

“That best not be a frown, otherwise I’m going to start kissing you, and you know I didn’t have time to brush me teeths before I came back to collect my mistress. Hmhm, there’s a smile. Know me too well, don’t you? The Hartwell family always does know how to keep their Knights content.. Though, I don’t know if there’s ever been a mixed species child… Ah well, we’ll cross that bridge later, eh?”

[Pause]

[Again, he chuckles]

“I love you too, Little Miss. Hang tight, and I’ll get the portal open. Then we can go home, order in some food, and relax.”

[Pause]

[He takes a breath and then utters the creed of his kind:]

“Cor, but how the blood sparkles from stone to stone, and calls the Knight to feed, to take souls back, this blood and shadow, darker than black.”

[SFX: Portal sounds, opening and then closing]

Note: One, this man could not decide if he was Southern or Irish in my brain, so consider him Irthern / Sirish, I guess. Two, I have no idea how people are going to respond to this. Three, yes I am aware of the manga/ anime and really like it.
