Background ambiance of cars passing by on the highway close by.

Sound of her walking up to the listener.

Trucker: "Uh...hey, hey there."

Trucker: "Oh, sorry, didn't mean to scare you there."

Trucker: "I came to help you, or at least I hope I can help you."

Trucker: "I'm not here to hurt you, honest."

Trucker: "I'm unarmed, see?"

Trucker: "What are you doing sitting on the ground, it's cold and wet out here."

Trucker: "Your friends ditched you here!?!"

Trucker: "And do you not have any other friends or family that could pick you up?"

Trucker: "Oh, I see."

Trucker: "No phone or money either? jeez."

Trucker: "Here."

Trucker: "It's just my hand silly, I want to help you up."

Sound of the listener getting off the ground.

Trucker: "Tell you what, if you want I can take you with me."

Trucker: "Well I'm a trucker and I'm currently hauling something, so I probably can't swing by your apartment, but I think it would be better than being out in the cold alone."

Trucker: "So what do you say?"

Trucker: "Oh don't worry about that, you're not a burden, I wouldn't offer if I didn't mean it."

Trucker: "Alright, my truck is the dark blue Renault over there okay? I just need to pick something up from the truck stop quickly."

Sound of the listener walking over to the truck, waiting for her to come back.

Sound of her coming back, walking up to the listener.

Trucker: "Alright I managed to grab some towels to get all that dirt off you and get ya dried up."

Trucker: "Here."

Sound of the listener getting the dirt off their pants from sitting on the ground.

Trucker: "All done? okay, then let's get rolling."

Sound of her opening the passenger door.

Trucker: "Okay now grab onto the railing and slowly climb up, don't want you slipping now."

Sound of the listener slowing climbing up and sitting down in the passenger seat.

Trucker: "Well done, I'll be up in a second!"

Sounds of her closing the passenger door, walking around the truck, and then opening the driver's door before getting in.

Trucker: Shudders. "Man it's cold outside."

Sound of her closing the driver's door.

Trucker: Giggles. "I know right? the seats in this thing are the best, but then again they need to be with how long some trips can get."

Trucker: "You ever been in a truck before?"

Trucker: "Guess I'm your first then."

Trucker: "Oh, before I forget, let me turn on the heater for you."

Sound of her turning on the heater.

Trucker: "Well you're clearly shivering, who knows how long you've been out there."

Trucker: "It's really messed up that no one else went to help you."

Trucker: "Exactly."

Trucker: "Alright, buckle up, gotta get to my destination on time."

Sound of her and the listener buckling up.

Trucker: "No need to thank me, you deserve better than to be left alone on the ground like that."

Trucker: "Now of course I don't know your friends personally, but they deserve a knuckle sandwich if they're gonna ditch you like that."

Trucker: Laughs. "Well at least I got a smile out of you."

Sound of her starting the engine and driving out of the lot, onto the road.

Trucker: Laughs "Oh right!! gosh, I am really scatterbrained sometimes!"

Trucker: "I was so concerned with helping you that I completely forgot to introduce myself."

Trucker: "My name is Emily, but you can also call me Em if you'll like."

Trucker: "Aww, you're so kind!"

Trucker: "Now the journey is going to be pretty long, so don't worry if you fall asleep."

Trucker: "If you look behind us you'll find some blankets, you can take them if you want."

Trucker: "Now, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself, get some conversation going for this long trip."

Audio slowly fades out as only the truck is heard.
