Summary: After getting home from work, Listener shares a nice night in with Narrator, their lover who has boldly stolen Listener's shirt. Lucky for them, Narrator is a very cute thief who is allowed to keep their spoils and kiss the person who they stole them from.
Word Count: 725 (Not including any actions or cues left in asterisks and italics)
Writer’s Notes: Finally starting to get up with my school work so I had time to post a real quick script! Not my longest script, but just something to get back into the flow of it.
Script Below:
\The door to Listener and Narrator’s apartment closes behind Listener as they get home from work. The TV is playing quietly as Listener walks into the living room, where Narrator is laying on the couch. When they hear Listener come over, they look up to see them.**
\Voice slightly sleep-rough, groggy** “Mm? Love? Are you home already?”
\Fondly, Listener replies that they are. They reach down to ruffle Narrator’s sleep-messy hair as they set their stuff down on the nearby coffee table. Narrator sighs happily before yawning.**
“It feels like it’s been forever since I’ve seen you. C’mere and give me a hug.”
(Pause)
“Yeah, I know it’s only been a few hours since I last saw you, but it’s been hours since I’ve seen you! I got lonely! And bored! On an unrelated note, don’t look in the kitchen because there’s definitely not a castle on our table that’s made out of all the cups in our apartment. And if there was, it definitely wouldn’t be five inches from the ceiling, so close to success but doomed to forever be a failure.”
(Short Pause)
“Yeah, don’t worry, I’ll clean up the ‘hypothetical’ cup castle tomorrow. I promise I didn’t use any of the glass ones, so even if they fall, it’ll be fine. Now, can you please get over here and hug me? I want a hug. Please. Please? Pleeaaassseee?”
\Laughing, Listener replies that they’ll only give Narrator a hug if they stand up. Narrator groans, exaggeratedly annoyed by Listener’s response.**
\Pouty** “Aw, but I don’t want to sit up! Can’t you just lean down? Just for a second? I promise it’ll be quick.”
\Listener snorts and reaches down to pinch Narrator’s cheek as they tell Narrator that Listener knows that they’re lying because Narrator’s hugs are never short. Narrator whines, the sound leaning towards a rough groan.**
“Hey, you don’t need to pinch my cheek like that! I’m not a liar! I promise it’ll just be a quick hug. No more than twenty seconds.”
\Listener laughs at what Narrator considers a ‘short hug’ and replies that Narrator will get three seconds, no more.**
“Three seconds?! That’s nowhere near enough! I need fifteen seconds at least! At the very minimum!”
\Listener rolls their eyes and says that Narrator can have seven seconds. Narrator sighs, still pouting.**
“Final offer; ten seconds, but I’ll let you go change into more comfortable clothes before I trap you with my cuddles.”
\Listener agrees, making Narrator laugh, quiet but happy/victorious.**
“Hell yeah! I’m the ultimate negotiator! Now c’mere and give me my hug!”
\Listener obliges and leans down to hug Narrator, who is grinning proudly at not having to sit up."*
"Alright, ten seconds on the clock. One… Two… Three… No, you gotta hug me tighter, love. Tighter. Yeah, just like that. Okay now we gotta start over."
\Listener tries to protest, but Narrator cuts them off, sounding way too happy with themself.**
"Huh uh, nope, gotta start over! One… Two… Three… Four… Five… Six… Seven… Eight… Nine…Nine and a half… Nine and three-fourths…Nine and-"
*Listener starts to pull away but Narrator hugs the tighter.*
"Fine, fine! Ten! There. Now you can go change, but then it’s cuddles and kisses time, okay? Because you look like you could use some nice, sweet affection to relax, and I’m always happy to provide.”
\Listener scoffs fondly before they go to their bedroom and change their clothes. When they come back, Narrator is grinning at them from on the couch. They have acquired a large, heavy blanket that’s draped over them**
“There you are! I was starting to get worried you’d fallen asleep without me. Now come over here, I want to snuggle up with you until we both fall asleep on the couch, all tangled together, Which will undoubtedly happen, since you know I cuddle like a sloth on a tree.”
\Listener laughs as they move to sit next to Narrator, who shifts over and lifts up the blanket to invite Listener to get under with them. Listener, not the type to resist a good cuddle or a warm blanket, joins them.**
\Voice warm, soft, starting to grow tired** “There we go, that’s it. Just get under the blanket with me. I’m just gonna wrap my arm around you so I can pull you closer, okay?”
\As Listener moves closer to Narrator, resting their head next to Narrator’s on a pillow, Listener notices their shirt. Teasingly, they asf Narrator if they got a new shirt.**
“‘New shirt?’ Huh- Oh. I forgot about that. I’m still wearing your shirt, huh?”
\Both laugh as they realize that Narrator is wearing one of Listener’s flannel shirts.**
“Sorry. I know I should’ve asked, but I was just missing you, and it was getting kinda cold in here. Since I’ve been running my laundry all day, I haven’t had any of my own warmer shirts to put on, so I just grabbed one of your flannels. I swear that I meant to put it back once I got everything washed, but it just… It smells like you, and it’s so warm, and I feel so happy wearing it, so I just kept it on. I told myself I’d wash it and hang it back up before you got back, but well, we both see how that went.”
\Listener laughs before telling Narrator that it’s fine, and they actually find it cute.**
\Cheeky** “Oh, do you now? You find it cute, huh?”
\Listener leans in the press a kiss to Narrator’s cheek, grinning before confirming that yes, they find it absolutely, positively adorable. Narrator laughs, slightly flustered.**
“Well, I’m glad to hear that you find me so adorable. I am, after all, the most adorable person you know.”
\Listener agrees, their fingers reaching up to play with the collar of the flannel shirt. They say that they like the way Narrator looks in their clothes.**
“‘Even cuter when I wear your clothes?’ That almost sounds like an invitation to wear them more often, if I’m hearing you right. Dare I get my hopes up?”
\Listener confirms that Narrator can steal more of their clothes, but only if Listener can steal Narrator’s clothes as well.**
“Hm, that’s a tricky deal you’re offering me. I suppose I accept; so long as I can steal your clothes, you can steal mine, too. Should we seal this deal with a kiss?”
\Grinning, Listener gently pulls Narrator closer by the collars, meeting them in a soft, slow kiss. When they pull away, they both chuckle softly.**
“Mmh, I think I haven’t had enough kisses from you, love. How about we make another deal; for every kiss you give me, I’ll give you one right back. How does that sound?”
\Snuggling closer to Narrator, Listener smiles at them as they say that they would be happy to agree to such a deal. Narrator hums contentedly, gently brushing their fingers through Listener’s hair.**
“Perfect, I’m glad we found such a happy compromise. Would you like to go first, or should I?”
\Listener and Narrator begin to share soft, sleepy kisses as the TV plays in the background. This kissing can go for as long as Narrator sees fit.**
\Voice soft, low, almost asleep** “There we are. You look much more relaxed now. I take it that some affection from your favorite person ever is helping you to relax?”
(Pause)
“Good. I’m glad to hear that. Why don’t you lay your head on my chest and I’ll play with your hair until you fall asleep?”
\Listener agrees, shifting so they can rest their head on Narrator’s chest. Narrator begins to run their fingers through Listener’s hair, occasionally kissing their forehead and/or kissing Listener as they drift to sleep. This can go on for however long as Narrator sees fit before fading off, ending the video.**
