Summary
(For the Speaker) The person you love had been acting distant. You feared that they were drifting away from you. And you dreaded the reason. Were they afraid of you finding out about something? Were they depressed? Did they HATE you? Eventually you had made up your mind to ask them about it, and if they confessed to you that they hated you, (a real possibility!) then you made plans to kidnap them then and there. When you finally discovered that they were just taking the time to prepare to propose to you you were overjoyed!
(For the Listener) Your (obsessive) lover has been acting anxious recently. Maybe it's because you haven't been spending as much time with them recently? They need to talk you about that, so hopefully you have a good excuse!
