You are not going to drown, not when I'm around atleast. I am doing you a favor here so be grateful. The school trip is next week and we both know that a waterpark resort with you carelessly wondering around is a pretty dangerous combination, that is why we are both out here in the community pool because I am teaching you how to swim (sigh)

Thinking about you going down the water slide without fainting is almost a miracle at this point (tsk) what am i going to do with you?...I mean...I could force you to wear arm floaties and just push you off the deep end of the pool by myself but that would make me look like a shitty boyfriend won't it?

No! No! You are coming! You are not going to miss this out. You'll just have to learn the basics... its not that hard, even a baby duck knows how to swim right after birth.

What is with that scowl? You don't want to be compared to a baby duck? fine!!! would it suffice If I compare you to a wobbly jellyfish?... a jellyfish knows how to float better than you though (chuckle)

I know baby... you are scared right now, its alright to be scared. I am scared too, I am going nuts to be exact!!! what if the worse case scenario happens that day and I'm not there with you? I won't be able to forgive myself (sad tone)

I wanna feel bad for you but doing so won't do you any good and we are no longer doing this pity party thing, do you understand me?

Baby look at you, you look like a cute floating otter (chuckle) don't get too cocky yet you still have much to learn. If it helps, you can think of happy thoughts to help you relax while you're floating ( matter of fact tone)

Take my hand, we'll proceed to the next part of our lesson which is swimming strokes. I'll assist you back to the edge of the pool and we'll continue okay (treading water sounds ) Here we are... grab on to the edge.

Okay, so I suggest that you'll just have to learn doing the Freestyle for now. Excuse me...what? Butterfly?! You want to learn the Butterfly stroke first? (chuckle) I am not laughing at you baby, but please be reasonable, you will learn the butterfly stroke once you are comfortable with doing freestyle alright? (Trying to put some sense to her)

I don't have faith in you!? Baby, trust me I do!!! but if I let you have it your way, the person who coined it "Butterfly Stroke" might rename it as "Drowning Caterpillar" once he or she saw you bobbing in and out of the water!!! (exasperated tone)

I am not making fun of you!!! I am stating facts!!! so?... whats it going to be? hmmm?... Freestyle? or Butterfly?.... good choice!!! freestyle it is (relaxed tone)

Watch me do it first and take a mental note alright? (swimming effect... after a few seconds you end up at the middle of the pool ) I'll stay at this end and watch you do what I did just now (louder tone of voice because of the distance)

Don't freak out on me now!!! We are almost done here!!! You can do it!!! Come on baby!!! ( encouraging tone )

(gf do as instructed and swam her way to you swimming effect)

You did it!!!! I am so proud of you baby!!! (kiss her) why are you crying huh shhhh shhhh!? You're just happy? (Kiss her again) I am happy that you were able to do it too, I couldn't believe my eyes!!! (escstatic tone)

You want to celebrate?... where to? In-N- Out?! you want a burger and a chocolate milkshake?! (chuckle) alright... alright... anything for my brave girl. Come on, let's get out here (fade out)
