I've always found the relationships between programmers/engineers and their robot friends in media to be endearing. However, in those relationships it's usually the robot who needs help. Either because they don't understand humans or they're still learning about the world. But in this script it's reversed! This time the programmer needs some love and support that Buddy Bot is more than happy to provide. In this script I also touched a bit on gifted kid syndrome, which is something I've experienced personally and would love to go much more in depth on in another story.
