Context: After dying due to a cruel prank, the demon Ramus appeared and offered you a deal: you let him be your boyfriend and he helps you get revenge on those that killed you. He’s taken to the role quite well and, despite his bombastic nature, you fell in love with him, but it can't last unless you get your revenge and complete the pact. Today, it's time. Time to get your revenge and cement your future with Ramus. At least, you thought it was, until Lucifer intervened… but that was a long time ago, wasn’t it?

[SFX: Calm nature sounds, if a bit off]

[You stand behind Ramus, having to stand on your tiptoes to cover his eyes]

“Eheh… Bright Eyes? I wasn’t expecting a nature hike to celebrate you graduating college…”

[Pause <3]

“Oh…? You learned something new with your powers, hmm? Is it more satisfying than seeing your bullies whimper any time they had to look at you? I especially loved the breakdown your stupid ex-crush had… ‘Eugh, how could you do this to me?! How could you become so evil?!?!’… And the way you hit him with the, ‘You left me to die, and I did. We both came back, so what’s the problem?’.”

[Pause…]

“No, no, no! I will throw a tantrum if you get rid of your devious side! I love it, just like I love the rest of you! Heehee… but your wicked side… it gives me special tingles, I won’t lie.”

[Pause <3]

“Yes, yes, I am ready for this big ‘surprise’ of yours, my love… Given how much time you’ve secreted away for it and how I keep finding portal dust in the morning, I am guessing you went a little wild with your godhood, hmm?”

[Pause <3]

[You release his eyes and he blinks a few time with a wince before he seems to realize…]

“W-What… What is this place?”

[SFX: Nature sounds (Fantasy) or BGM: grand orchestral]

[Pause <3]

[He looks at you in disbelief]

“…You… You created an entire new plane of existence… Just for me…?”

[Pause…]

[He looks away, ashamed]

“…I know the last two years have been rough ones… My nightmares, my trauma… You’ve had to take care of me a lot since Lucifer kidnapped me, and I’m sorry… But building an entirely new world just so I can feel safe? Bright Eyes, I-I…”

[Pause <3]

[Ramus smiles at you, tail swaying slowly, side to side]

“…You made a whole new plane of existence, just for me… Just so Lucifer can never reach me again. I… I’ve never known love like yours, my bright-eyed goddess…”

[Pause <3]

[He pauses for a moment, looking worried]

“…I trust you, please remember that… but I worry that you’ll see how worthless I truly am, now… Especially compared to everything you are, now.”

[Pause…]

[He perks]

“…You wouldn’t be everything you are now without me… I-Is that what you said…?”

[Pause <3]

[He loses himself for a moment… Voice cracking as he embraces you]

“I love you… and I know I am not worthy of you, but will you please make me the happiest little gremlin in the universe and be my bride…? My wife? My partner, in everything, good or bad?”

[Pause <3]

[He erupts with happiness and kisses, claiming you in all the ways he can without losing any clothes]

“Yes!!! Yes, yes, yes, I couldn’t be any happier, my darling! I promise you, you will have my love, my loyalty and eternal respect. If you get sick, somehow, I will never leave your side, I won’t even consider it! I will create beautiful things for you, every day, and I will love you like how only I can! I will be the proudest, most dedicated demon husband that has ever been!!”

[Pause??]

[He scoffs]

“Honey… If I make it so it’s just ‘best husband’, I’ll have to start competing with some of history’s greatest wife lovers. Hashimura Hiruko, the Oni of the Morning Sun? King Lothaire of Edelweiss? Kings Allistair and Yvan of Rasan? Donavan Greywater? Hell no… I might be a gremlin, but I’m not on Donnie’s level… I’m like… a medium spicy gremlin. A six of ten on the yandere scale. Those boys can roll in the tens, no problem.”

[Pause…]

[He smiles, unbothered]

“Hehe… Mad you picked a 6’ 1” poser biker demon instead of a big, strapping, purple Oni? Or a sexy set of kings?”

[Pause <3]

“No…? Hehe… Well, you might have terrible taste, but I won’t complain that it includes me…”

[He pauses again, looking out at the lush, vibrant place you have cultivated. His voice is soft, for once]

“…It’s beautiful, here… You know me so well… But…”

[Pause…?]

[He takes a deep breath and exhales]

“I’m not… a god, Bright Eyes… I’m not immortal, not outside of Hell… You’ll live forever, I’m sure, but… not me…”

[…?]

[His eyebrows perk]

“Me…? Be a god…? Here, in our little private dimension?”

[Pause!]

“…You think we could… leave it open to demons, like me, who were abused…?”

[Pause…]

“Anyone who needs a new home… without judgment… Whatever would I even be the god of?”

[Pause!]

[He barks out a laugh, but you can tell he’s pleased]

“Chaos?? Ooh, that’s spicy, my love! But why would people looking for peace need chaos in their lives…?”

[Pause <3]

[He giggles again, holding you with a gratitude you’ve never known]

“…My peaceful goddess… and her husband, the god of chaos… Hmhm, yes. Demons especially do need a little chaos, otherwise we get bored enough to BECOME the chaos! And I’d hate to ruin such a beautiful gift from my bride… This world you made for us…”

[You offer your hand and Ramus readily takes it, smiling]

“…I give you my hand… I’m ready to be yours, eternally. Your sword, your lover… whatever you need from me, Bright Eyes, I am yours.”

[You hold him as power surges through you, pouring into his frame. He gasps out in surprise but braces, gritting his teeth]

[SFX: A demon having the power of god and anime on his side]

“Haha… Oh wow this really – HNNGH! T-This is a lot, I won’t lie! Am I going to explode??? It feels like I’m going to explode!”

[Pause!]

[He calms eventually, looking at his hands in wonder]

“I… I feel… like I have even more purpose, now… The power to truly do something for people like us, the people abused, over and over, with little means to stop it… I know, now, in my heart… you won’t leave me. I know… and you know I will never betray you…”

[Pause <3]

[SFX: The beauty of the new world… babbling brooks, wildlife, etc.]

[Ramus takes your hand, his once panicked smile serene now]

“…When our eyes met, all those years ago… I swore I’d do anything to become the man you loved. Lucifer said I was sick. Obsessed… but you accepted me anyways. Guided me, stayed patient with me, and never recoiled from my touch. I might be a lot of bad things but, for you…”

[He kisses you and his power somewhat snatches your breath away]

[Pause! <3 <3 <3]

“I want a million children with you! No, a billion! I want our family to bring forth a new era, where peace and chaos love each other, wholly and truly! Where we can be as we wish, as we truly were meant to be! Depraved and VISCERALLY in love and lust with one another!”

[Pause <3 …]

[He giggles but that yandere is still in there]

“OK, OK… How’s about ten kids, then?”

[Pause…]

“Fine, fine… Eleven??”

[Pause.]

“…five…?”

[Pause…]

“YES! And we compromise on three! Hmhm… I do love you so, my beautiful Bright Eyes… I’ll never let you forget it, either, certainly not now…”

[<3 Pause <3]

[He holds you for a moment as you both survey this new place. A place of your making]

“…So… Want to make up some creatures together and watch them have a giant battle of epic proportions…?”

[Pause… <3]

[He laughs, good-natured… somehow]

“Fine, fine… Some TV together with the cat sounds lovely. I’m sure he appreciates his immortality as best a big old fat cat with two braincells can.”

[Pause <3]

[He loses it laughing]

“Not much different from me, huh? Mmmh, I adore my sassy goddess… C’mon. Let’s watch some terrible old sitcoms together for a bit, have some pizza… then we can figure out the future. After all, it’s not like we don’t have plenty of time now, eh?”

[Pause <3]

[Ramus puts an arm around you and, despite his aura of pure menace and chaos, you know you’ve found your soulmate]

[SFX: Fade out on fantasy world / dimension sounds, if desired OR BGM: some punk rock fitting a biker turned god]

Note: OH HEY, ESME, YOU STARTED THIS ONE AT THE BEGINNING OF YOUR CAREER HERE, WOW, TOOK YOU LONG ENOUGH! It did… It definitely did. Ramus and Bright Eyes have never been characters to rush their journey and I wanted to give them their due. Regardless of that, it’s nice to see one more series finish for a pair of unlikely lovers. I can’t say for certain it’s the last time you’ll see these two, but rest assured, they’ve found the best ending possible :3
