A group of insidious mind controllers have slowly taken control of the country. They were subtle at first, but have gotten increasingly more blatant, and you know why. You are the only one with free will left, and they are hunting you. You have managed to stay one step ahead of them so far, but tonight, there's an unexpected knock on the door.
This is the same premise as u/charxion’s magnificent "Dreams of Escape", an entire society under mind control, governed by the elite. But in this script, a mind controller tracks the listener down and explains why mind control is a good thing™, before putting them under her spell. When she realizes the listener will be more useful to her if they're willing, she tries to persuade them to join her, for the greater good.
