You can change pronouns if preferred but otherwise please don't edit the script. My scripts are meant for adult audiences and all characters are 18 . For clarification on the format of the script, any place that says (Pause) is a place for the Listener's response. Anything in \asterisks and italics** isn't meant to be read aloud, it's there to either hint at the tone or provide context that might help the script make more sense.
Summary: A movie night with your himbo best friend leads to a rather blunt expression of his feelings. Lucky for him, you find him as cute as he finds you.
Word Count: Approximately 1,622 words (Not including any actions or cues left in asterisks and italics)
Writerâs Notes: Subby himbos have a hold on my heart that I gladly accept. So does hot chocolate, for that matter. And terrible movie marathons lol.
Script Below:
\Listener is absentmindedly scrolling through their phone when they hear the door open and their friend walk inside. Thereâs a sheepish laugh as Narrator closes the door and walks closer to the couch Listener is.**
âHey, sorry I'm late. I got off the highway at the wrong exit again.â
(Pause)
âWell it's not my fault all the exits look alike! And you know I'm not good at reading those signs; all the exits have different numbers and letters and it gets so confusing! Why can't they just say one number? Or better yet. Why can't they just have a gold star or something so I don't have to read anything?! That would make everything so much easier!â
(Pause)
âHey, don't laugh at me! It's a good idea!â
\Narrator laughs.**
âOkay, maybe it's not the best idea ever, but still! Itâs a good idea, at least!â
(Pause)
âItâs a good idea for me, at least. Maybe it would only benefit me, but at least if they did that, you wouldnât have to come pick me up from a city two hours away in the middle of a snowstorm.â
(Pause
\Cheerful** âTrue, I guess it wasnât all bad. We did find that cozy little diner to warm up in!â
\Narrator sighs happily.**
âYou know, we should go up there again sometime. That was the best beef stew I've ever had, and Iâve been craving it so much since the weatherâs gotten cold.â
\Listener suggests that Narrator let them drive next time. Narrator laughs.**
âYeah, Iâll definitely let you drive next time. That way we wonât get lost, and Iâll be able to change the music for you! Itâll be perfect, since I always know what music you like.â
(Pause)
âOf course I do! Here, look at this - I have like, three playlists of your favorite songs! You know, sorted based on mood and stuff. I mean, it doesnât sound like a lot of playlists, but I think it makes sense to not have so many - especially since I can change the music for you!â
(Pause)
âHuh? Oh, right! Iâm getting distracted. I gotta remember that itâs movie night.â
\Narrator laughs.**
âOkay, you go ahead and get the movie ready. I decided to get a little surprise for you on my way here, so Iâm gonna grab it before we start.â
\Narrator walks to the next room over, still talking to Listener as he grabs the surprise.**
âI know I didnât have to, but I wanted to! I thought it would be nice to have a little treat for us to enjoy while we watched the movie!â
\Narrator walks back into the room.**
âWhich is why I got us hot chocolate!â
\Narrator sits on the couch next to Listener.**
âHere you go.â
(Pause)
âMhm, it is! I know they have your favorite hot chocolate, so I stopped by there before I came here. Luckily, we go there enough that I didnât get lost on the way from there to here! I just figured that âhey, Iâm gonna be late anyways, might as well get you something thatâll make up for it.â Hopefully I was right?â
(Pause)
âI mean, yeah, it did mean it took me even longer to get here, butâŚâ
\Narrator pauses, taking a moment to consider his response.**
âHm⌠But itâs hot chocolate, so itâs totally worth it!â
(Pause)
âOf course it is! You really like this hot chocolate, which should make it totally worth it that it took me a few minutes longer to get here.â
(Pause)
âYeah I do! You smiled really cutely when I gave it to you, so it clearly did make you happy!â
\Confused** âHuh? Why do you look so surprised?â
(Pause)
âWell, it is. Your smile is like, super cute.â
\Listener, amused, starts to laugh. Narrator, confused but amused by Listernerâs amusement, laughs along.**
\Oblivious but happy** âI donât know why weâre laughing right now. Um, why are we laughing?â
(Pause)
âOh, thanks! But I think youâre cuter than me. A lot cuter, actually.â
(Pause)
âMhm, yeah. Especially since youâre smiling again. Itâs the same smile as when I gave you the hot chocolate! I think itâs even cuter this time.â
(Pause)
âHuh? Distracted? From what?â
(Pause)
âRight! I totally forgot about the movie again!â
\Narrator laughs.**
âYeah, letâs start the movie. Let me just get a bit more comfortable real quick.â
\Narrator shifts around, getting more comfortable.**
âMm, thatâs better. Hey, would you mind being the coolest, most awesome person ever and sharing your blanket with me?â
(Pause)
\Pouty, very âpuppy eyesâ energy** âWhat?! Why not?!â
(Pause)
âI mean, maybe we do⌠But just because we always end up cuddling doesnât mean we have to this time! If you really donât want to cuddle, we donât have to. Iâm fine with just sharing the blanket.â
(Pause)
âYeah, really. If you donât want to, then we wonât cuddle. We can just share the blanket, since itâs so big.â
(Pause)
âBecause I want you to be happy. Cuddles may be the best thing ever, but making you happy is even better. So I guess cuddles are actually the second best thing ever.â
(Pause)
âMhm, I mean it. Making you happy is my favorite thing. Iâd do it forever if I could.â
\Listener laughs fondly before moving closer to NArrator to cuddle him.**
\Confused** âHuh? Wait, but I thought you didnât want to cuddle?â
(Pause)
\Realizing** âOh, you were teasing me again?â
\Narrator laughs.**
âI really like it when you tease me. You get a really cute smile on your face when you do. Itâs not the same smile that you give me when I get you hot chocolate, but itâs really cute too. Like, a different kind of cute, you know what I mean?â
(Pause)
âYeah, exactly! You always know just what I mean!â
(Pause)
âOh, but if youâre really alright with cuddling, then uh, can I cuddle you now? Please?â
(Pause)
\Excited** âSweet! Câmere, let me pull you closer.â
\Narrator laughs as he pulls Listener closer to snuggle with them.**
âI always forget how cuddly you are! Like, youâre the best person ever to cuddle with! Can I wrap my arms around you too? You know, like a hug? That way we can hug and cuddle at the same time! Itâs like, a perfect combination! It makes perfect sense! Like when I added whole milk to condensed milk so we had two whole milks!â
(Pause)
âYou can say that all you want, but I still think it worked perfectly.â
(Pause)
âI mean, it wasnât the best food Iâve ever made, but it wasnât the worst!â
(Pause)
\Pouty, joking** âCâmon, you donât need to remind me about that! It was only one time, and it wasnât that burnt!â
(Pause)
âHeeey, quit laughing at me! Iâll⌠Iâll drink all of your hot chocolate if you donât!â
(Pause)
âYeah, really! Or, at least Iâll drink the rest of it.â
(Pause)
\Happy** âHaha! I win! Now please turn on the movie before you find something else to tease me about.â
\Listener turns on the movie as Narrator snuggles closer.**
âMmm, youâre so comfy. Warm, too. Like Iâm holding a little ball of fire. But a really soft ball of fire.â
\Narrator sighs, comfortable and happy.**
âOur movie nights are one of the best things ever, you know that? Even when weâre watching some cliche holliday movies that are all copy-pasted from each other, thereâs nothing else Iâd rather be doing.â
(Pause)
âNope, nothing. If I could, Iâd watch stupid movies with you forever. If I was with you, I could do anything forever.â
(Pause)
âYeah, really. Doing anything with you sounds great. It sounds like the best way to spend my forever. Especially if we have hot chocolate like this while we watch the movie.â
\Narrator laughs and takes a drink of his hot chocolate before both fall silent. They watch the movie for about 5-10 seconds before Narrator speaks again.**
âHey, is now a good time to tell you that I love you? Like, a lot? Because I do.â
\Surprised, Listener scrambles a bit, kicking the blanket off in the process.**
âOh, shit, sorry! I didnât mean to surprise you!â
(Pause)
âUhâŚSo was this not a good time to say it?â
\Narrator sighs, nervous.**
âDammit, I shouldnât have said that. Listen, I didnât-â
(Pause)
\Hopeful** âAre you sure? Is it really okay?â
(Pause)
\Hesitant** âBecause I just told you that I love you, and I donât know if I shouldâve said that because I donât know if you feel the same way.â
(Pause)
âYeah, of course I mean it. I love you a ton. How could I not love you? Youâre my best friend, and youâre always there for me, and I want to spend every single moment with you. But weâve been friends forever, and I donât want to ruin that with my stupidly huge crush on you because I donât know if you love me back. I donât know what would happen if-â
\Listener interrupts Narrator.**
\Hopeful** âYou⌠You do? You love me too? Do you mean that?â
(Pause)
âYeah? Pinky promise?â
(Pause)
âYeah, I want you to pinky promise! I love you so much but I donât want you to think you have to do this just because weâre friends, so I need you to promise that you love me!"
\In lieu of a pinky promise, Listener kisses Narrator. They kiss a few times.**
âOh, that was⌠You kissed me. â
\Narrator laughs softly.**
âI uh, I like that more than a pinky promise. A lot more, actually. I think that kissing you just became one of my favorite things.â
(Pause)
âThen uh, could we kiss some more? And um, could you⌠Could you sit in my lap? Please? I really want to hug you closer. You know, like when we were cuddling.â
\Listener sits on Narratorâs lap. They kiss a couple times.**
âMhm, just like that. Now I can hold you even closer while we kiss.â
(Pause)
âThen, please? Please can you kiss me again?â
\Narrator and Listener kiss for a while, for how long is up to Narrator. After a while, Narrator pulls back with a soft laugh.**
âOh my god, that was amazing. Iâve wanted to kiss you for so long.â
(Pause)
âMhm, I have. And what makes it even better is that you taste like hot chocolate. Itâs awesome.â
\Listener and Narrator kiss a few more times, giggling between kisses.**
âShit, this is amazing. I love you so, so much. I know I said I wanted to watch movies with you forever, but I think kissing you forever would be even better.â
(Pause)
âBoth? Oh shit, youâre right. That would be heaven.â
(Pause)
âThen, can we do it? Can we watch these terrible movies while we cuddle and kiss the whole time? Please? Please please please?â
(Pause)
âHell yeah! Thanks babe, youâre the best. Now come here so I can pull the blanket around us again. I wanna be nice and cozy so I donât have to let go of you for even a second.â
\Narrator and Listener snuggle closer under the blanket.**
âThere, now weâre all comfy, and I can give you all my love and attention.â
(Pause)
âSure, Iâll pay some attention to the movie. But youâre gonna get like 99% of it. Because youâre the best, cutest person ever, and I want to give you all the kisses you deserve.â
(Pause)
âSure, and all the treats too. But youâre almost done with your hot chocolate, so for now, youâre just gonna have to settle for kissing me and teasing me to your heartâs content. Does that sound alright, babe?â
(Pause)
âYeah, I thought you might like it. I like it a lot, too.â
\Narrator chuckles and they kiss a few times before the audio fades out.**
