SCRIPT HERE-approximately 1200 words
With my first Christmas script being more magical in nature, I wanted to write something a bit more realistic. And thinking of realistic concerns that are brought up around Christmas, the overcomercialism and overworking of employees is one that's brought up a lot. And for good reason! Retail employees have to put up with enough hard stuff on a normal day. But the December shopping sprees that literally make up over half of most companies' profits in any given year makes it a lot worse. And I have personal experience with this, as both of my parents work retail in different positions. I wanted to put this script out there to hopefully provide a relatable character to those in that sort of situation and to encourage everyone to treat service workers with respect. Don't be a Karen, people. Especially during the holidays. Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoy!
