Girlfriend: "Hey sweetheart!"

Girlfriend: "Yeah I'm done with work."

Sound of her sitting down next to the listener.

Girlfriend: "I feel tired but I also don't want to go to sleep yet."

Girlfriend: "So what have you been up to?"

Girlfriend: "What's with the cup?"

Girlfriend: "Wait..."

Girlfriend: "Is that the one with my number on the bottom?"

Girlfriend: Getting flustered. "You kept it all this time?"

Girlfriend: "Wow."

Girlfriend: Giggles. "I still have those notes you would leave in my lunch or the ones you hid in my bag for my book tour."

Girlfriend: "They're in my wallet, so I bring them with me wherever I go."

Girlfriend: "I guess we're both sentimental saps."

Girlfriend: "Yeah, I was so shy back then."

Girlfriend: "In my defense, I'm not really a people person and neither are you."

Girlfriend: "I could barely look you in the eyes."

Girlfriend: "I was so worried I'd make a fool of myself."

Girlfriend: "It didn't help that I was still new to the job."

Girlfriend: "Well it was the first time I had a job where I had to deal with people"

Girlfriend: "After you started coming every day my co-workers started teasing me."

Girlfriend: "Yeah, and they shut up about it."

Girlfriend: "They would ask if they were invited to the wedding and when it would happen."

Girlfriend: "Nah, eventually they settled down and they weren't mean about it anyway."

Girlfriend: "It was just bad because I was so shy and it made me even more nervous whenever you were there."

Girlfriend: Embarrassed noises. "Oh don't remind me."

Girlfriend: "I was going to ask you out that day, but then I tripped and..." Sighs.

Girlfriend: "I can look back on those times fondly now, but some of these memories still mortify me."

Girlfriend: "I still keep in contact with some of the other baristas and they still work there too."

Girlfriend: "Mhm."

Girlfriend: "Maybe we'll have to visit them sometime."

Girlfriend: "It would be a long drive to get to a coffee shop but it'll be worth it."

Girlfriend: "It would probably be pretty embarrassing, like having your parents show your date all your baby pictures."

Girlfriend: "Oh trust me, I'm sure they would have plenty of stories to tell about me that I have long forgotten about."

Sound of her sitting down next to the listener, cuddling up to them.

Girlfriend: "That first date though, that was some real magic."

Girlfriend: "That's what makes it magical though."

Girlfriend: "Although so much of it didn't go to plan, we still had an amazing time and it only made me fall more in love with you."

Sound of them kissing.

Girlfriend: "True, we still haven't rewatched that movie."

Girlfriend: "I can only remember a handful of scenes, I was mostly focused on you and how nervous I was."

Girlfriend: "Just come here and kiss me again."

Sound of them kissing some more.

Girlfriend: Giggles. "I love you too~"

Girlfriend: "It's crazy to think about how much has changed in the last 5 years, and yet things don't really feel different."

Girlfriend: "Since then we moved in together, I swapped to being a writer like I always wanted, and we've gone on countless vacation trips."

Girlfriend: "Though we're both still just as shy with others."

Girlfriend: "Makes me wonder if in 5 years I'll say the same."

Girlfriend: "Hmm?"

Girlfriend: "What do you mean?"

Girlfriend: "M-Married!?!"

Girlfriend: Stutters.

Girlfriend: Flustered. "I don't understand how you can be shy one moment and then say something like that the next."

Girlfriend: "Of course I've thought about it."

Girlfriend: "I just never knew how to bring it up, and I didn't want you to feel pressured in case you weren't ready yet."

Girlfriend: "It doesn't matter to me if we marry today or in 5 years, I already get to spend my life with you, anything else is just a bonus."

Girlfriend: "I guess we'll see who proposes first then huh?"

Girlfriend: "Wasn't expecting to be talking about marriage today, but I'm glad that we've had this talk, now I don't need to wonder about that anymore."

Girlfriend: "N-No, we can't plan the wedding already."

Girlfriend: "I-okay maybe you have a point." Laughs.

Girlfriend: I've spent way too much time thinking about what our wedding song would be, or what cakes we would have."

Girlfriend: "Still, our plans might change, so why bother doing it now and then re-do it later when we can just do it once?"

Girlfriend: Sighs. "You're lucky you're cute."

Girlfriend: "You're the one writing it all down then, capiche?"

Girlfriend: "You better."

Girlfriend: "What are we starting with then?"

Girlfriend: "Location."

Audio slowly fades out as she talks.

Girlfriend: "Well I was thinking it would be outside in a quiet spot, but not directly in the sun."

Girlfriend: "Ohh, you're right that would be nice."

Girlfriend: "Let me look up some pictures."
