Sound of her working in the kitchen.

Girlfriend: Humming.

Girlfriend: Startled. "Ahh!!"

Sound of her almost knocking something over.

Girlfriend: Catching her breath.

Girlfriend: "H-Hey honey...how..how long have you been standing there?"

Girlfriend: "Oh..."

Girlfriend: "Well, I uhm, how was your day?"

Girlfriend: "That's great!"

Girlfriend: "All that preparation really paid off."

Girlfriend: "Maybe they'll make you head of the department soon."

Girlfriend: "I'm just saying."

Girlfriend: "You've put a lot of work in and it's showing, in more ways than one."

Girlfriend: "Well your great results aside, you do look pretty tired."

Girlfriend: "You're a bit pale too."

Girlfriend: "Like you haven't had a break all day."

Girlfriend: "You did though right?"

Girlfriend: "Good."

Girlfriend: "And your lunch? you ate it right?"

Girlfriend: "All of it?"

Girlfriend: "Good."

Girlfriend: "And what about water?"

Girlfriend: "That's what I want to hear."

Girlfriend: "I knew you'd like them, that's why I packed them."

Girlfriend: "No need to thank me."

Girlfriend: "I'm just looking out for you, just as you look out for me."

Sound of the listener hugging her.

Girlfriend: "Careful, my apron is covered."

Girlfriend: Giggles. "Honey, you're gonna get yourself all dirty."

Girlfriend: Kiss. "I love you too."

Girlfriend: "Yes and missed you."

Girlfriend: "Well aren't you extra cuddly today?"

Girlfriend: "It has been that kind of day hasn't it?"

Girlfriend: "Of course, we can cuddle."

Girlfriend: "No need to ask when we cuddle every day."

Girlfriend: "I'm just teasing."

Girlfriend: "I find it sweet that you still ask."

Girlfriend: "Well as you can tell, I'll need to do some cleaning before we can cuddle, but it shouldn't take too long."

Girlfriend: "Yeah, I've been keeping myself busy today."

Girlfriend: "Hmm?"

Girlfriend: "Oh I'm fine."

Girlfriend: "Me? nervous?"

Girlfriend: "Why would you think that?"

Girlfriend: "What about the cakes?"

Girlfriend: "I...bake when I'm nervous..."

Girlfriend: Sighs. "Nothing escapes you does it?"

Girlfriend: "Okay I admit that I'm a little nervous."

Girlfriend: "Maybe super nervous."

Girlfriend: "I've never taken any of my cooking or baking to an event before."

Girlfriend: "What if I messed it up and they don't like it?"

Girlfriend: "Should I bring a back-up cake?"

Girlfriend: "Maybe I should bring two back-ups..."

Girlfriend: "I know it's among friends, but that makes it even worst!"

Girlfriend: "Yeah for about 10 years now, why?"

Girlfriend: "That doesn't mean I'm good at baking now."

Girlfriend: "Hey, what are you-"

Sound of the listener cutting off a piece from one of the cakes.

Girlfriend: "I appreciate the praise but that-"

Girlfriend: "No thank you, I already snacked on plenty as I made these."

Girlfriend: "That's not the same thing though."

Girlfriend: "I don't have to worry about you not liking my cakes, because we know each other on a deeper level than anyone else."

Girlfriend: "I'm close to my friends sure, but not like with you."

Girlfriend: Sighs. "I shouldn't have offered to make it..."

Girlfriend: "Well originally Mark was going to bring cake, but it turns out he's going to be busy so...yeah..."

Sound of the listener hugging her again.

Girlfriend: "Honey, now you're really gonna need to change."

Sound of them kissing again.

Girlfriend: "Mm, you taste like chocolate now."

Girlfriend: "Thank you, I appreciate it."

Girlfriend: "You don't have to do that."

Girlfriend: "I can go on my own, I don't want you to take a day off over something like this."

Girlfriend: "No it's fine."

Girlfriend: Giggles. "I don't think cake would make a strong enough argument."

Girlfriend: "Sorry I can't come in today, there's cake business that requires my attention."

Girlfriend: Laughs.

Girlfriend: "H-Hey!"

Girlfriend: "I'm already covered in flour, I don't need more."

Girlfriend: "Now we both look like a mess."

Girlfriend: "Yeah, you go take a shower."

Girlfriend: "I'm gonna get this place back in order and then we can cuddle on the couch."

Girlfriend: "Hmm?"

Girlfriend: "That's for the bread I was going to make, but it can wait."

Girlfriend: "I am feeling a bit better, nervous still, but better."

Girlfriend: "Though a bread couldn't hurt..."

Girlfriend: "The only question is, what kind of bread should it be?"

Girlfriend: "Maybe some-"

Girlfriend: "Oh."

Girlfriend: "Well if you're in the mood for something sweet then I could make that instead."

Girlfriend: "What kind of sweets are you in the mood for?"

Girlfriend: "Oh, I think we still have some chocolate bars in the-"

Sound of the listener picking her up.

Girlfriend: Laughs. "Honey!!"

Girlfriend: "I'm the sweet?"

Girlfriend: "Wha- I can't shower now."

Girlfriend: "What about the kitchen?"

Girlfriend: "Shouldn't I shower after I clean up?"

Girlfriend: "That doesn't answer my question."

Girlfriend: Flustered. "H-Honey!"

Girlfriend: "You're lucky you're cute."
