Sound of her moving under her blankets.

Princess: Shudders.

Sound of the listener knocking on her chamber doors.

Princess: "Come in!"

Sound of the listener entering.

Princess: "Dear hero, you're here!"

Princess: "Thank goodness."

Princess: "I have an urgent quest for you."

Princess: "Guards, you may leave us alone now and start your rounds."

Princess: "Thank you."

Princess: "You are dismissed."

Sounds of the guards leaving the room.

Princess: "Darling, I need you to come over here and keep me warm."

Princess: "I wish, but the fire keeps going out and even when it's lit it's not enough."

Princess: "No I've sent the head maid away to make sure that the others are doing okay with this cold."

Princess: "You're right about that, as soon as I can I'll have the builders look into making the fireplace a little bit bigger."

Princess: "Now please, come and warm me up."

Princess: "You can just leave them in front of the bed."

Sound of the listener getting onto the bed, moving under the covers with her.

Princess: Shudders.

Princess: "Oh god, even just lifting the covers feels awful."

Princess: "I don't understand how you can be out there in weather like this."

Princess: "Yeah, that's why you're the hero and not me."

Princess: "Could you hold me closer."

Princess: "Yeah just a big squeeze."

Princess: "Thank you."

Princess: Sighs. "I've missed this..."

Princess: "Just you and me, none of that hero and princess business."

Princess: "It's been what? four weeks now?"

Princess: "That's far too long to be separated from you."

Princess: "All that time spent longing for and worrying about you."

Princess: "Of course, I worry."

Princess: "I know that you're amazing at what you do, you're the hero after all, but at the end of the day you're still a human."

Princess: "So It doesn't matter if you're just over in the bathroom or halfway across the land, I'm always going to worry about you."

Princess: "Yeah, and having you as mine now only makes me worry more, just as you have worried more about me ever since we got together."

Princess: "When I heard of the weather that might be coming to us I was worried that you wouldn't make it back in time."

Princess: "I know you wrote that you were making your way back in your last letter, but sometimes you can get sidetracked into new quests."

Princess: "Not that it's a bad thing, you're just trying to help people."

Sound of the listener kissing her.

Princess: "Oh how are your lips still so cold when the rest of you is so warm?"

Princess: "You really should start wearing a mask in the winter you know."

Princess: "And a hat too."

Princess: "As cute as the sight of you coming in with hair covered in snow is, I'd rather you don't get sick."

Princess: "Don't want a repeat of last year now do we?"

Princess: "Mhm, and then I got sick when I was trying to help you."

Princess: "The poor maids were at such a loss to help us get better, I don't want to put them through all those worries again."

Princess: "So will you let me get you some extra winter gear?"

Princess: "No I want the royal tailors to do it."

Princess: "Because I want to make sure it lasts long and perfectly fits you."

Princess: "It's not bothering anyone, it's making sure you're staying safe and healthy."

Princess: "You've been to them before, they won't mind."

Princess: "You need to treat yourself more."

Princess: Scoffs. "I don't think I've been treating you nearly enough."

Princess: "And if I hadn't been so busy lately then I would've."

Princess: "Oh just you wait darling, once I'm queen I'm gonna spoil you like nobody's been ever spoiled before."

Princess: "Maybe then we can finally do that trip to that village beside that river you told me about."

Princess: "We could stay there for a while and just let ourselves live."

Princess: "Just imagining me coming home to you, or the other way around, in a nice cozy cottage."

Princess: "Then we'll make dinner together and after that cuddle up in front of the fireplace."

Princess: "I don't know why, but I've always had this dream of living like that."

Princess: "No I do like the castle life, and my duties as a princess can be very fulfilling."

Princess: "But there's just something in this dream of mine that always lures me back."

Princess: "So I really hope that we can do a trip and realize it for at least a little while."

Princess: Giggles. "You bet, I would be saying "honey, I'm home!" every time I'd come in."

Princess: "And then you could ask me if I wanted to cuddle, get started on dinner, have a bath, or have you-"

Princess: Getting flustered. "Y-Yeah, I'm getting a bit carried away."

Princess: "That's what happens when I'm finally back in your arms."

Princess: "Hmm?"

Princess: "Another way to warm up your lips? what are you-"

Sound of the listener peppering her face with kisses.

Princess: Giggles. "H-Hey! s-stop it, it tickles."

Princess: "Oh now you've done it, come here you!"

Sound of them moving around under the covers.

Princess: Laughs.

Princess: "You were right, this certainly is warming me up."

Princess: "H-Hey, I was distracted."

Princess: "Well let's see how you like it."

Princess: "Come here you~"

Sound of her giving the listener lots of kisses.

Audio slowly fades out with the sounds of the covers rustling around and her giggling.
