I come from an area that doesn't commonly celebrate the Day of the Dead. However, I've always wanted to take part in the festivities. I have a huge respect for the traditions and meaning behind the holiday and wanted to impart some of that meaning with this script. However, I will clarify that this script is much sadder than the holiday is typically. Dia de los Muertos is meant to be a celebration of those who died, not necessarily a mourning period (although there are practices for mourning the dead). Unfortunately I wasn't able to put in as much of the celebration aspect as I would've liked due to the subject matter. But I do hope you appreciate it regardless!
