I am a big sister irl and my little brother is getting to the age where he doesn't want to go trick-or-treating anymore. It does make me a little sad that I won't be able to take him around anymore (or show off my Halloween costume). Plus, I was forced out of trick-or-treating myself at an early age. I was a tall kid so around the age of 11-13 some houses starting making comments about me being "too old" or even just refusing to give me candy. Which honestly, why is that normalized? I'd give anyone candy if they trick-or-treated my house on Halloween, child or no. But yeah. This script was sort of a way to re-experience both sides of this activity for me. And I hope it can help some other people out there feel the same way! Trick-or-treating is such a fun activity and it's a shame that society put an imaginary age limit on it.
