You ask so many questions, I brought you here because I did not want you to be married off to that brute of a prince, of course. I could not let such a lovely little flower like you be taken away, I wanted to have you for myself.

Your curiosity does not know bounds, doesn’t it, my flower? I have had my eyes on you since you had your social debut all those years ago. It was love at first sight, your gracious movements, your beautiful eyes, those soft lips... I knew that I had to be with you, the imperial princess, the most dazzling woman in the entire world. And the chance finally presented itself so here you are, in my arms, where you belong to, my flower.

[The Narrator sits onto the bed, cradling the listener gently, caressing her hair.]

I will take loving care of you little flower, MY little flower. You do not have to worry about anything anymore, not about the duties of the royalty, nor that stupid prince... All you need to do is be a good girl for me. If you are, you will receive all my love, attention, and care.

[She stops stroking the princess's head.]

Oh, my love, do not be like that, do not pout. I know you did not want to get married to him. You always had that annoyed look on your face when you were with him. You barely danced with him and when you did, it was so stiff. There was no passion at all. You can forget him now though; I will be a much better fit for you anyway.

[The Duchsess starts to kiss the princess's forehead.]

There there, I am sure you will get used to living here in my caste. It is not as large as the royal palace but the weather here in the west is much milder than the heat of the central plains. I cannot wait to show you the garden, the libraries, or the surrounding hillsides. It will be so romantic, riding across the fields, you in my embrace. You will love it too; I am sure of it.

My flower, stop the unnecessary protesting. All I ask from you is to behave, so stop being a spoiled little brat. If you do not...

[A menacing smirk spreads on the narrator’s face.]

I will just have to “make” you behave like a good girl I know you are. An obedient and lovely princess, graceful and beautiful... Just. For. “Me.”

[The princess seems scared by the prospect of “making her behave.”]

But do not you worry my love. I would not do that unless you start to test my patience. I am sure you will be on your best behaviour for me.

[A little chuckle and a kiss on the cheek.]

Rest for now my lovely little flower, it will still take some hours until your strength returns. I have some errands to run and things to prepare...

You really want to know everything there is to, don’t you? I still need to find trustworthy servants for you, our chambers are not quiet done being renovated and there is also the question of overall security...

You did not hear wrong, I said “our” chambers. You are my flower, I would not want you gone from my side, especially not during the night. I am sure you would feel lonely in a cold bed, without anybody to embrace you...
