Context: After feeling really sick you go to a hospital where the only doctor is a vampire...even thought it's Halloween.

[Scene opens up with the Dr. Coming into the room]

[SFX: Door opening]

"Ah, a new patient. Please, come in."

[You slowly walk in]

"Hmm~. It seems that you are...under the weather?"

[You nod]

"Let's take a look, please remove your shirt."

[You remove your shirt and she puts on her stethoscope]

"Now just relax and take a deep breath in...and out."

[You do that a few times as she listens in your back]

"Mmm~. Ahh~, Yes~, Yes~. Ah, no. No, no, no."

[She removes her stethoscope and sighs]

"Well, it sounds like your breath is seems to be staggering. I've notice you walking in that you been clenching your stomach as well."

[You ask why she was listening to your lungs]

"Well, to put it bluntly; around this time, I've notice some pneumonia cases as well. I just wanted to make sure. Outside of the stomach issues, is there something else I should know?"

[Pause]

"Don't worry, you won't be in trouble. I just need to make sure you are ok."

[You say you felt funny after eating something]

"I see. Was this something perhaps...Candy~?"

[You shake your head]

[SFX: Scribbling on notepad]

"I see,...Oh don't mind the notepad, the network has been on the fritz lately. So I can properly report it to your PCP (Primary Care Physician), I need to take down all the notes I possibly can."

[Pause]

"I'd figure since your here, we might as well get some...blood from you~."

[You turn pale as she chuckles]

"I'm of course referring to drawing blood for some test my dear~."

[She shuffles around the drawer and pulls out the needed equipment]

"Since the problem is related to the stomach, I'm going to make sure that everything is ok for you my dear~."

[She prepares your arm]

"Now just make a fist with your arm...um, before that; would you prefer the right or left arm?"

[You say right]

"Ok, right it is then. Now your going to feel a little pinch and then-"

[She sticks the needle in you]

"Voila, simple yet effective."

[You ask if she's ok]

"Am I ok? Oh, I see. It's because I'm a vampire right?"

[You apologize if you offended her]

"Oh, no need to apologize my dear. I mean, there is some truth to that statement. There were many vampires back in the day posing as doctors in order to get as they put it "Delicious Blood~". What they failed to realize however was the issues followed by it."

[You ask curiously about these issues.]

"Well, have you ever read the book "The Jungle" By Upton Sinclair?"

[You nod]

"Simply put, the issues with blood for those vampires really start to become noticeable."

[You ask what happened]

"For many of them; to put it in human terms; "Food Positioning"

[Pause]

"So, that is why I honor that one particular line when becoming a doctor. Despite being a vampire;"

[Pause]

"The line in question of course is " primum non nocere, " or "First, do no harm." That line is very important to me in the Hippocratic Oath, and one I still try to honor."

[SFX: Scribbling notes]

"Tell you what, you seem like a nice human. Maybe after I report this to your doctor, did you want to maybe...hang out afterwards?"

[Pause]

"It doesn't have to be anything too spicy, just maybe some quality time together. I'd even settle for McDonalds truthfully."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"I know, It's just...I've haven't gotten many good looking specimens such as yourself. Tell ya what, I'll let you know of the results and see how you feel afterwards. Seem fair?"

[You nod]

"Ok, I'll call you to see if there was any results. If I'm correct, I'll prescribe you with the needed medicine, I'm sure it's probably nothing too bad...I hope."

[SFX: Scribbling]

"IF however there is further issues with the breathing, don't hesitate to call me back. So that I can properly prescribe you an antibiotic."

[She ask if that might really be it]

"Well between a slightly upset stomach and trouble breathing, I'm more concerned with the breathing. However, if there is any issues...say for example, vomiting or...you know, let me know. Until then, all we can do is wait for the results."

[Pause]

"If you want to rest here for a bit, you can. Surprisingly it's a very slow night."

[You ask why she's here]

"Oh yeah. I guess being a vampire does mean people expect me to be out and about on Halloween. The truth is, one of the doctors had a bit of a medical emergency. So I'm filling in."

[You ask if she minds it]

"Not really, usually Halloween is like Valentine's day for us ghouls and monsters. Why? Thinking of asking me out properly~?"

[She chuckles]

"I'm just teasing. Well, if that's all; did you just want to stay here and rest then?"

[You nod]

"Ok, shall I turn off the lights~? Or leave them on?"

[You ask for them to be left on]

"Sure thing, I'll leave them on for you. If you get sick, just use that bucket. Don't worry, It's clean."

[She walks out and lets you rest as it fades to black]
