Hello! For the past few months, I've been working on an in-depth guide for writing audio roleplay scripts in a cinematic style called "Your Script Sucks". The complete 41-page guide contains ten chapters, where I discuss character creation, world-building, formatting, speaker dialogue, listener/implied dialogue, plot creation, writing action, common mistakes and how to avoid them, and more!
The guide also contains nine writing samples, including two script doctoring samples.
Read "Your Script Sucks" here!
The guide primarily focuses on the writing of longer plot-driven audios, but it also includes a good amount of advice that can also apply to comfort/partner roleplay/etc. audios. The guide also includes some links to external resources. All of the creative writing information and advice is specialized to apply to writing audio roleplays.
The main intended audience is people who already have some experience with writing audio scripts and want to advance into more cinematic audios, or just want to improve overall. Even if you're not in that specific category, the guide is still very useful for both new and experienced script writers.
Best wishes, and thank you to everybody who decides to read!
