Hey hey hey, since many asked for it, here is another entry in the "True Meaning of..." category (series?). It technically takes place after this: Handholding, but there is only one small reference to it, so you could use this one even without having filled the first part, or just change a sentence or two in the beginning. Summary: You come home from a long day and just hope to relax and forget the day. You are greeted at the door by your partner who of course got home before you did. Can they do anything to cheer you up?

Speaker: “Oh hey, Baby, you’re home! It’s later than usual, are you okay?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “Hm, I see… Just a rough day, was it? Well you’re home now, so you can relax at last.”

Listener: *reply*

Speaker: “You still feel stressed out? Hmmmm… I think I know something that would cheer you up for sure, Baby. Would you like me to try it?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “What do I mean? Do you remember what we did a few weeks ago? When I showed you the true meaning of hand holding? Back then you wanted more, didn't you? So why don't I give it to you now? The true meaning of kissing?”

Listener: *remembers*

Speaker: “Oh, Baby, don't look so scared! I will be infinitely more gentle this time. Last time was a punishment, but this time it is… comfort. Or, well, maybe not comfort per se. An attempt to occupy your mind in a soft and enjoyable way so you can forget all the toils and troubles of your day. Don't you want that? Please let me do it for you! Please? Just look at my eyes, begging you to let me help you. How can you say no to that? You can't, can you?”

Listener: *agrees*

Speaker: *gasp* “I can go ahead? Thank you thank you thank you! Not that this is unexpected of course, you can never resist me for long… Oh no, don't look so dejected, Baby! It can't be helped that it always ends like this. After all, there is no shame in losing to the very best. And that means to me!”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Mhm, that's right. I am the best. So I can do whatever I want. And right now, I want to climb on top of your lap so we can face each other really up close and personal.” *giggle* “I mean, who needs personal space anyways when you love each other as much as we do?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Yes, Baby, I said I love you. How could I not?... I. Love. You… Cutie!” *giggle* “Do you like it when I boop your nose like that? Or was it something else that made you blush so hard? I didn't really say anything I didn't tell you before, did I?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: *gasp* “It is different? Baby, you're going to have to be a little more specific than that. How was me telling you that I love you now different from all the other times I did? Was it the closeness? The fact that I have you pinned down against the soft couch pillows with my body weight? Or that I whispered the words directly into your ear. Like. This?”

[Optionally soft ear blowing]

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “All of those? Oh my sweet Baby, if my lips can cause you to feel this flustered without even touching you, imagine how good it must feel when I actually do kiss you! Doesn't the thought excite you?”

Listener: *flustered*

Speaker: *giggle* “Oh Baby, you should know better than to look away from me like this, avoiding direct eye contact in an attempt to hide your embarrassment. My eyes are up here, so don't look down… No no, not to your left, there is nothing but air there… No, not to your right either. Baby are you trying to provoke me? Here, let me help you by gently guiding your chin with my thumb and index finger. Look! Here! Into my eyes. Directly. My face is just in front of yours now. Well, just a little bit higher than yours actually. I am sitting on your lap after all.”

Listener: *blush*

Speaker: *sigh* “The way that you are looking up at me is so exhilarating. Oh baby if you just knew what you cause inside of me… Your trembling eyes, wondering just what I plan to do with you… Afraid, yet unable to look away, firmly held in place by my own gaze… Don't worry, Baby, I told you before and I will tell you again. I won't do anything bad. A bit of teasing maybe, but I’ll be careful not to go too far. Don’t you trust me?”

Listener: *confirms*

Speaker: *giggle* “That’s what I thought. The honesty in your eyes is so overwhelming when you say that, that I suddenly find it easy to hold myself back from doing anything bad to you. I guess this is just what love does to you. When I look at your face, just inches away from my own, I notice so many things I either didn’t see before, or things I forgot. Did you know that it is harder to describe a person’s appearance the closer you are to them?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Yes, it’s true. When you meet someone for the first time, you take notice of every little detail, but when you get to know them, you forget these things, because your subconscious mind remembers them instead. So if someone asks you to describe that person, the knowledge suddenly seems near and yet so far away, just outside of your mind’s reach.” *giggle* “Look at me rambling about nothing again. What I wanted to say is that these moments where we look at each other, I mean REALLY look at each other, never stop being exciting. You are truly the most beautiful person I have ever seen.”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “No, I’m not lying, why would you think that? Can you see even a hint of a lie in my eyes when I say that?”

Listener: *denies*

Speaker: “See? It must be true then, don’t you agree?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “What do I find so beautiful? Hm, let me see. It’s the whole package, of course, the way that everything harmonizes with each other. Your facial features, your body, and obviously the person inside, but when I look at your face like this… I find even more things. The longer I search, the more details I find. The gentle curve of your nose, neither too big nor too small. The edges of your lips, always ready to turn into a cheeky smile whenever you hear something even remotely funny, or an opportunity to play a prank on someone. Me, mostly, if we’re completely honest. But if I had to pick one thing, and one thing only, which I consider the most beautiful, it would be your eyes. They are my favorite color, though I don’t remember if it always was my favorite, or if it only became after we met. And I absolutely adore how expressive they are. Every smile and laugh reaches all the way up to your eyes, and every time you try to pout, their squint makes my heart quiver with excitement. But above all, it is moments like this I like the most. Wait, I already said most before. The mostest! When we look at each other in calm moments, your eyes are so honest, so full of love, and so open that I feel like I can stare directly into your heart. It just makes me feel so incredibly connected to you. Seeing your pure love, your devotion like this.”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Oh no, I don’t mean it in a dom-sub way, not necessarily. I feel the same towards you after all. I told you before, but my body, heart, and soul belong to you, just as yours belong to me. It just means that we both really value each other and this relationship. This feeling of deep connection between us just makes me want to… lean in… inching closer and closer… until my lips are just a hair’s breadth away from yours… Oh goodness, look at me, almost getting ahead of myself.”

Listener: *dejected*

Speaker: *giggle* “Oh Baby, don’t look so disappointed. We’ll get there. But first I need to take you on the grand tour of your face.”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: *gasp* “You don’t know what that is? Not that it surprises me, of course, I came up with it after all, so I guess it can’t be helped that you never heard of it before. So, what I am going to do is to first put my arms around your neck and start on your forehead, like this…” *kiss* “and then slowly move all over your cute, kissable face. Starting with your temple on the right…” *kiss kiss* “then moving further down all the way to your eyelids… close your eyes, Baby, you won’t need them for this. And I promise that it is going to feel so much better if you do… Are they closed?”

Listener: *confirms*

Speaker: “Good. Then I can go ahead with another kiss like…” *kiss* “this. And do you know what comes next?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “That’s right, I only went over the right side so far. So I’m going to start again, right at the beginning…” *kiss* “but then move to the left instead…” *kiss kiss* “to your temple, and…” *kiss kiss* “ending on your eyelid again. Now there is only one spot left unkissed for this part of the tour and that is… your adorable nose of course!...” *kiss* ”...Say, do you have an idea of what the grand tour is, now that I started it?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “Yes, that’s right! It’s when I kiss and appreciate every single inch of your face. But you forgot to add some adjectives to it. Like cute, beautiful, adorable, amazing… There are too many to think of honestly. Now, the next spot of the tour is… let’s see, how about your left cheek? I started with your right side before, so it seems only fair to start on the left this time…” *kiss* “One kiss on the cheek, and now I’m slowly going to work my way down, like this…” *kiss kiss kiss* “close to your lips…” *kiss kiss* “putting one kiss just next to them” *kiss* “almost touching them… But just almost.”

Listener: *expectation*

Speaker: *giggle* “Oh? You look like you are expecting something? I wonder, just what could it be?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: *gasp* “A kiss on the lips? No no, it would still be a bit too early for that. For the time being I am moving my lips over yours, no matter how much they yearn for my touch, and continuing on the right side. This time from the bottom…” *kiss* “making my way further up…” *kiss kiss* “until I arrive at the top, where your cheek touches your hair…” *kiss kiss kiss* “And that is the grand tour. Every bit of your face has been kissed. Well, all but one. But now that you have been… sufficiently flustered, I want you to take just a few seconds to remember. How my breath felt against your skin. The gentle touch of my lips. My arms around your neck. Recall how good all of it felt. And do you know that our lips are more sensitive than almost any other part of our body. So just imagine how much more intense a kiss on them would be.”

Listener: *embarrassed*

Speaker: *giggle* “Is that already enough to make you squirm again? Fine, if you are feeling this tortured, I’m going to release you now. With the perfect kiss. I’m going to put one hand on the back of your head, and use the other to guide your chin. Like this. Are you still comfortable?”

Listener: *comfirms*

Speaker: “That is great, I would never want you to be anything but. Now, Baby, pay attention to everything. The entire process. The last time our eyes connect before we close them. The slight feeling of air gently brushing against your face as I move mine closer. The soft, quiet gasp that escapes my mouth when I hold my breath. The gentle pressure of the kiss itself. Every short twitch of the muscles in our lips. Can you do that for me?”

Listener: *agrees*

Speaker: *giggle* “You will try? I guess I can’t ask for more than that. If you are ready, then here I go…”

[Kissing sounds]

Speaker: “Did you get all of that?...” *giggle* “You look a bit dazed there, Baby, is everything alright? You look like you could use another demonstration, don’t you? It’s also okay to just nod if you can’t use your words right now.”

Listener: *agrees*

Speaker: *giggle* “As you wish, my Love. But this time I also want you to pay attention to the way I use both my lips and tongue to massage yours ever so gently. Do you think you can handle that?”

Listener: *confirms*

Speaker: “Great! Pay attention then, Baby.”

[More kissing sounds]

Speaker: “Okay, I think this is enough for now. I wouldn’t want to overwhelm you too much. Do you feel a bit better?” *giggle* “Or maybe the more appropriate question would be 'do you even still remember what made you so stressed out in the first place?’”

Listener: *denies*

Speaker: “You don’t? No no, it’s alright, you don’t have to try and remember. If you forgot then that is absolutely okay. You don’t have to pay attention to anything outside our home when you are with me, understood?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Yes, that is right. Nothing else matters in moments like this... Now that we finished this… lesson, did you learn anything about what kissing truly means? Or should I tell you my understanding?”

Listener: *reply*

Speaker: “No, it’s okay if you can’t find the words right now, I don’t mind at all, Baby! In my opinion, a kiss is about trust, understanding, and a deep connection. The close proximity is of course one thing, but also the fact that we close our eyes while this close to another person. And just before, we look directly at each other, exchanging countless nonverbal messages. We find that one connection that allows us to react to each other and communicate how and when to move. It is also about equality. There might be someone who initiates and one who follows, but in the end it does not work without us both engaging in it. In short, the true meaning of kissing is also the essence of a relationship.”
