[Scene opens in your secret evil lair]

[SFX: Loud banging on door]

"Hello? Hello?"

[SFX: loud banging on door]

"Come on dude, I know your here. If you won't answer the door, I'll come in the other way."

[SFX: Door opening slowly]

"Oh, um...thank you."

[She walks in as the door shuts behind her]

"Just so I don't trip or break anything do you have any lights in here?"

[SFX: Lights turning on]

"Oh, um thank you."

[Pause]

[SFX: Welding]

"I first want to apologize for coming in such short notice but I was wondering if I can ask you a favor."

[You continue to weld]

"Normally I wouldn't ask for this, but is there any chance you could delay your bank robberies for this week?"

[You stop welding as you turn to her in confusion]

"I know it might seem like a lot right now. It's just...I kind of...had a really bad week was all."

[You ask what happened]

"Well, before I tell you could I ask you a question?"

[You nod]

"Am I...worth it?"

[You ask her to clarify]

"Well, am I worth it to you? As your arch nemesis or even as a hero?"

[Your very puzzled by the response]

"Okay, maybe I should elaborate. I know that look too well, your trying to figure out what do I mean?"

[Pause]

"It's just...well...the thing is..."

[She starts to get teary eyed]

"I found out that my boyfriend was cheating on me."

[She tries to hide the tears]

"To make matters worse, he was cheating on me with my best friend."

[She starts crying more]

"I never felt so useless or pathetic in all my life. To make matters even worse, I found out on the anniversary of our first date."

[You look at her concerned]

"*Sniff* I just felt so pathetic and useless. I can't even properly stop any bank robberies."

[You ask why she's coming to you with this info]

"Why? Well, outside of my best friend...you were the only other person I was close with."

[Pause]

"If you want me to go, I will. I just wanted to get this off my chest. Sorry to waste your time."

[You hold her arm and ask her to wait]

"Huh? Wait? What for?"

[You ask if you want him to take care of your boyfriend or best friend]

"No, I don't want you to "Take care of them" I just wanted to talk to someone, anyone."

[You ask about her parents]

"Well, I could of talked to them. Although if I recall, there was a certain evil genius that was a blubbering mess when a certain-"

[You say fine and ask her to continue]

"okay so anyway. I figure I wouldn't waste too much time on whatever your planning so I'll just get to the point."

[She sits down]

"Am I worth it?"

[You look at her in confusion]

"I mean, In general of course. As a superhero, as a friend, as your nemesis, even as a..."

[She tries to hold back the tears]

"Girlfriend?"

[She starts to cry a little]

"It's just that lately...I feel like a *Hic* Useless superhero. One not even worthy as even being your hated foe."

[She sniffles as you hand her a tissue]

"Oh, uh...thanks."

[She blows]

"*Catches breath* Anyways, I know you usually try to plan some evil plot around this time. If I'm not up for it, could you possibly give a "Rain check" for me?"

[Pause]

"Please? I know it seems really selfish right now. I just can't get my head into it."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"I know that look, "Would I ask this if there wasn't something in it for you?" So, ok. I'll allow one thing for you. With three particular caveats."

[You ask what they are]

"Condition number 1, I can't let you slip with an evil plan."

[You moan]

"Come on dude, you know that winning without putting any effort defeats the purpose of doing it in the first place."

[You can't argue with that and agree]

"Okay, Condition number 2, I can't give you something I don't have. For example, I can't give you...let's say a million dollars for example. If I don't have it, I can't give it. Makes sense?"

[You nod and ask the other caveats]

"Okay, the last caveat is pretty simple but I have to make this clear, when I say I can't...I don't mean I won't."

[You look in confusion]

"So, I can't...and I repeat, I can't do this request you have for at the minimum; one week. I'm just too much of a mess right now. Okay? Does it seem fair?"

[You nod]

"Well, with that being said; what is your request?"

[You say that you rather ask later]

"Really? Why ask later?"

[You mention her current state.]

"*Defeated* Oh, ok."

[You ask if there is something she wants before she leaves]

"Really? You mean it?"

[You nod]

"Well, since you offered; Could I get a hug before I leave?"

[Pause]

"I'm not joking, I could really use a hug right about now."

[You sigh and begrudgingly agree]

"Thank you. Normally, I would ask my best friend for this. Considering right now, your probably the closest thing I have to a friend right now."

[You hug her as you gently pat her back]

"I'll be sure to make it up to you."

[She dries the remaining tears and brushes herself off]

"Welp, I guess I should be going."

[You stop her]

"Wait. What's up?"

[You say she is worth it]

"I am worth it...wait, as what exactly?"

[You say a nemesis, a hero, and as a friend.]

"As your nemesis, as a hero and as...a friend?"

[She tries to hide the tears and clears her throat]

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to honor my word. Again, thank you for being patient with me. It means a lot to me."

[You nod]

"Well, until we meet again...*Looks up* I don't really want to destroy your roof, any chance you could..."

[SFX: Roof opening]

"Thanks, until we meet again."

[She flies off as it fades to black]
