Context: You are an alien doctor aboard a Class 5 vessel that came across a destroyed ship with only one survivor. A human man named Aurim is your lone charge, and he seemed just as fascinated by you as you were by him... for better or worse. That fascination turned into an obsession, and your new friend turned into a monster, murdering everyone else aboard your spaceship except for you. Now, all you can do is your best to survive. Or...you can try and study him like any good doctor would...

[Scene opens aboard the spaceship]

[SFX: Aurim groaning/chains faintly rattling]

[You sit nearby, tensed, as the monster before you slowly sits up, dazed]

“Nngh… I can

[He stares at you hungrily, eyeing you from head to toe]

“...You didn’t leave me…”

[...]

[You stare one another down. He makes a move to lurch forward but finally seems to realize]

[SFX: Chains rattling]

“Come he-... What? You… Chained me up by the ankles???”

[Pause…]

[He pauses for a moment before bursting into hysterical laughter]

“BAHAHAHAHAHA! SERIOUSLY?! YOU SERIOUSLY THINK YOU CAN CHAIN ME LIKE A RABID DOG???”

[You don’t know what this but hope so]

[...]

“Pffft, that’s cute. You’re cute. But, really, you should be running, Beauty… The more you stand there, cowering, the more… riled up I get…”

[...P-Pause?]

“Does that mean I want to eat you or does it mean I want to mate with you?”

[He thinks on this for a moment before he gives you a disturbed grin]

“A little of both, truth be told… I got by on raw meat I snuck from the freezer… Didn’t eat anyone live because I wanted to respect my blossom-haired beauty…”

[A low growl escapes him. His form shifts and morphs, barely stable]

“But you look so fucking delicious...”

[P-Pause…]

[He cocks his head with that twisted smile]

“Oh, Beauty… It won’t hurt that badly… My teeth are so sharp that you won’t even feel them sinking into that oh-so-delicate skin…”

[He takes another step forward, almost drooling]

“I want you… I want you so badly, it BURNS! No one… No one has ever been able to get me to feel… Not even others of your species, even the strongest of them! I’m desperate, and I’ll admit it! Haha… I have no time for pride or dignity when I’m standing here, towering over you, so deliciously close to just…”

[He lunges forward with a manic snarl and you dart back]

[SFX: Him lunging/being snapped back by the chains]

“GOT Y-! Hhk! W…What?”

[Pause…]

“...The chains are Sythios.”

[His smile fades away and a terrible darkness blooms in his eyes]

“...You smart little cutie… Of all the fucking species in the universe to have access to an interdimensional singing crystal, why did it have to be you, hm?”

[SFX: A crystalline hum]

[Pause.]

[He smirks at you but sits]

“OK. OK, Beauty, I’m listening… Don’t whip me too hard, mmkay? I’m not really much of a sub… Last person that tried to make me one is swimming around in my dark little soul, pleading for an end that will never come.”

[Pause…]

“What do I want? You.”

[Pause?]

“Can you record this for science? Mmh… Is it still science if it turns into a naughty film?”

[...]

[Every part of his laugh and smile is unhinged]

“Hehe… What, do the males of your species not tease? I’m being honest… I want you. Only you. To be mine, forever and always, and no one else's.”

[...]

[He laughs darkly, eyes glinting with lust and malice]

“Psychosis…? No. The only ‘psychosis’ I have is being painfully, agonizingly aware of the fact that I am slowly losing more and more of the mass that makes up my presence. That’s why I have to eat, Beauty… Realistically, I could just shift my body to never need food like the pathetic creature I once was, but then I’ll fade away…”

[SFX: Notes being taken in Sci-Fi]

[He watches you like the predator he is while you take notes]

[Pause…?]

“What am I…? Hmph. Well, that shadow bitch called me a ‘Xryl’ after killing me hundreds of times after I beat one of her sons to within an inch of his life… I just wanted to devour a god, you know? Just wanted to be the strongest…”

[He lets out a manic giggle under his breath]

“...But, as it turns out, some things can’t be beaten… or eaten… and I have to give her credit, the Shadow Queen is a visage of raw, unending vengeance. Or mercy, depending on who you ask. It’s, perhaps, the one hunt I truly regret.”

[...?]

“Hehe… Don’t worry, Beauty. This is different dimension drama… What is a Xryl, hmmm. A shapeshifter, to put it simply. A shapeshifter that is very, very good at manipulating people before they inevitably strike. That’s what is so problematic with you, my dear…”

[Pause?]

“Well, the problem is that you are everything that I want… and I can’t have you. And, pardon me for sounding like a toddler ready to throw a tantrum, but RRGH, I WANT YOU!!!”

[SFX: Things falling/shattering as he struggles against the chains/the chains violently shaking]

[You scurry back as he tries with all of him to break free and devour you]

[Rec. Improv - Aurim having a mental breakdown]

[Pause?]

“H-Huh…? Yeah… You can put a hand on my head if you want…”

[Pause…]

[You rest your hand on his crown and he playfully snaps his teeth at you]

[Pause!]

“Hehe… Made you jump.”

[...]

[He laughs]

“Oh, I know, I am the wooooorst. Absolute worst! But, but… you’re the one wanting to get to know my body better.”

[Pause.]

“Hmhm… Sure, sure… ‘I’m a medical doctor, it’s the opportunity of a lifetime’. You tell yourself that.”

[Pause.]

“Behave?”

[Pause.]

“Ooh… Yes, master.”

[You give him an annoyed look but he seems taken aback]

[Pause?]

“....That… That wasn’t what I was going to say…”

[...]

[He looks at himself and then at you, almost seeming afraid]

“...P-Please don’t leave me! Please… I’ll be good! I promise!”

[...]

[You rest your hand on his crown again and he eases, seeming dazed]

“Yeah, yeah, just keep petting my hair! That’s perfect…”

[...]

[He snuggles into you as best he can, desperate for your touch]

“Mmh, you feel so nice… So warm…”

[...]

“...I’m so tired… So hungry… I need to hunt soon, Beauty, or I’m going to die! We don’t have any more meat…”

[Pause…]

“Yeah…? You’ll take us to the nearest planet so I can hunt?”

[Pause…]

[He smiles. It’s surprisingly soft and sincere]

“You’re so nice to me… even though I’m a monster…”

[...]

“Hmm… I’m going to pass out now… I hope, when I wake up, you’ll still be holding me.”

[He settles against you before you can protest]

“...Cause I’d be inCREDIBLY angry if I woke up and you weren’t here… Mmkay?”

[Pause…]

“Good. Love you~”.

[He’s snoring before you can respond]

[SFX: Fade out on spaceship ambiance with an eerie musical sting, if desired]
