[Scene opens in a little diner as Abagail talks on the phone]

"So you see, it seems that my client's girlfriend had an affair with his best friend."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Yeah, after hearing that I figured out quite quickly why his Sibling paid so much for our services."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Well, I figured that it was better if I heard it right from the source and-"

[SFX: Speed talking]

"*Sigh* Yeah, I kind of figured that out...a little too late of course."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Well, thank you for taking the time on giving me some advice sir."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"I mean, if your ok with that. I'm just use to addressing people in a formal manner."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Yeah, before they laid me off I was a maid at a very well kept and fancy-"

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Oh, I take it you red the resume."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Well thank you again for taking the time to answer some questions...Charlie."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Sorry, it's going to take some getting use to."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Well, thank you for your patience and help for me. Hopefully your advice will come in handy."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Yes, you too. Goodbye Charlie."

[She hangs up her cell phone]

"*Slams head on desk* Oh man, why did I have to get such a hard first case?"

[Pause]

"I mean, it's not like that I could simply solve his problem with another girlfriend. . . or could I?"

[She looks through her notes]

"Yeah, yeah. That just might work. If I can find someone who would be his girlfriend, everything will be just-"

[SFX: Phone ringing]

"Oh, what now? *Looks at phone* Oh shoot, just when I had the perfect-*Answers phone* Hey, Charlie, was there something that you forgot?"

[SFX: Speed talking]

"*Facepalm* Of course Charlie, I wouldn't do a rookie mistake like trying to set him up with another girlfriend."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"What? Me? Nah. Of course I wasn't about to do that."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"*Facepalm* Yes, I know I'm a horrible liar."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"*Looks at watch* He should be here any minute. Why?"

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Of course, Charlie."

[SFX: Speed talking]

"Yes, Charlie."

[SFX: Bell on door ringing]

"I understand Charlie."

[SFX: Speed talking]

[You walk towards her]

"Um, I got to go Charlie. Be sure to fill me in later. Bye."

[She hangs up the phone and you sit down.]

"Hey there buddy, how's it going?"

[You ask who was she talking to?]

"Oh, him? Well...*Sigh* Ok, so you know how your my first case right?"

[You nod]

"Well, I decided to talk to someone who helped me get this job in the first place."

[Pause]

"I assure you it's purely a business relationship. I mean, he kind of helped me after I was let go from my previous job."

[You asked if she was fired]

"I would say more laid off than fired. They did want to keep me, they just couldn't afford me was all."

[Pause]

"Anyways, the reason I called him was because I finally read over the notes. Needless to say, I'm kind of shocked in what I found out."

[Pause]

"I know this might take a while, but if your wiling to help me I can find something to help you out in this pickle."

[You ask how]

"Well for starters, were going to have to address this problem. If your ok with this, I think we can address it head on. If not, we'll try a different approach."

[You say head on]

"All right, head on it is then. So what do you think happened in order to lead your girlfriend cheating on you?"

[You say in a monotone fashion that your worthless]

"Hey now. I don't believe that. Your not worthless. If your worthless, why do you think your brother is willing to help you?"

[You say pity?]

"Pity doesn't cover this amount dude. Anyways, I was thinking of maybe setting you up with some dates. If your ok with this. I do have a back up plan otherwise."

[You ask for the back up plan]

"Ok, so my backup plan seems a little...unorthodox, but there is a reason for it. What if I go as your date for a while. Let's just say one to start."

[You raise an eyebrow]

"Now don't get the wrong idea, I'm just trying to build your confidence. Afterword's we can have you go on some actual dates."

[Pause]

"Look, I know how you feel. My boyfriend cheated on me as well."

[You ask with her best friend]

"Actually it was a lot worse than my best friend though."

[You say sister]

"Try mother."

[Pause]

"Yeah. Needless to say; were not on speaking terms."

[Pause]

"But enough about me. If your up for it the two of us could do a..."Practice date" of sorts."

[You ask where]

"don't worry about the price. I got this covered. After all is said and done; just seeing that smile will be worth it."

[Pause]

"So what do you say? Do you want to try a practice date with me?"

[You nod]

"Wonderful. I tell you what, let's work on the finer details like where and when later. In the meantime, since you have taken an interest in seeing me again; what do you want to do now?"

[You shrug]

"Hmm...I know, since there are no other cases I have to work on today, do you want to try practice walking me "Home"?"

[You raise an eyebrow]

"Well, I have to punch out from work, so...It's not so much walking home as it is walking to my workplace."

[You nod]

"Great, than lead the way."

[You two get up and walk to the "Smiling friends" Co.]

"Well, here it is."

[Pause]

"I know what your thinking. No big smiling head. Sadly, that's only at the main HQ. This one is just one of many locations that are just ordinarily looking."

[pause]

"Don't worry though. The people here are super nice."

[You walk her to her car]

"Now, I know that this might just be...something that might not work, but if it does I think we can do great things. Trust me, I won't let you down...*Under her breath* For both of us."

[Pause]

"Let's start small with our date. Let's say...dinner on Friday?"

[you nod]

"*Giggle* good, I'll pick you up on Friday. Later."

[She gets in her car and drives away as it fades to black]
