Sound of the listener slowly walking through the hall.

Girlfriend: Fake cough.

Girlfriend: "What do you think you're doing?"

Girlfriend: Sighs.

Girlfriend: "Look, how about we skip this part and just get to the point."

Girlfriend: "You should be in bed."

Girlfriend: "I don't want to hear it."

Girlfriend: "You need to rest."

Girlfriend: "You can barely stand, you have a hard time walking, you. need. to. rest."

Girlfriend: "Do I need to show you what your back looks like in the mirror!?"

Girlfriend: Sighs.

Girlfriend: "I'm sorry that I'm being so strict, I don't want to be."

Girlfriend: "But when it comes to your health I do not want to take any chances, no matter how small."

Girlfriend: "I know, you didn't sustain any life-threatening injuries."

Girlfriend: "But that should not be your calling card for why you're struggling to walk alone here."

Girlfriend: "It should be your reason to rest so that you can heal properly."

Girlfriend: "I don't want any of your wounds to reopen."

Sound of her leading the listener back to their bedroom.

Girlfriend: "Come on, let's get you back to bed."

Girlfriend: "No I was coming back from the meeting."

Girlfriend: "I told you that I'll only be gone for 20 minutes."

Girlfriend: Sighs. "Next time I'll ask Dr. Green to watch you."

Girlfriend: "I know, you two are like siblings sometimes."

Girlfriend: "Yes her checkups can take a while sometimes because of how diligent she is, but that's why I chose her to be your doctor."

Girlfriend: "I want only the best for you."

Sound of them entering the bedroom.

Girlfriend: "I know you don't like laying down all day, but that's why I'm here."

Girlfriend: "To love you, to care for you, and to make sure you don't perish of boredom."

Girlfriend: "Now, sit down on the bed and take your shirt off."

Girlfriend: "I want to make sure that none of your wounds reopened."

Girlfriend: "No I'm not gonna change the bandages, it's too early for that."

Girlfriend: "Do you need me to help you?"

Girlfriend: "Alright."

Sound of the listener taking their shirt off.

Girlfriend: "And if anything hurts more than usual you'll tell me okay?"

Sound of them both sitting down on the bed.

Girlfriend: "Hmm?"

Girlfriend: "Of course, even with these wounds you're still beautiful."

Girlfriend: "I just wish this didn't happen."

Girlfriend: "You deserve better."

Girlfriend: "You're precious love, no matter what."

Sound of her gently kissing the listener.

Girlfriend: "If things went my way, you would be here with me every day."

Girlfriend: "But I know that you're an adventurer at heart, and I'm not gonna force you to change."

Girlfriend: "You help people and you enjoy what you're doing, it's how we first met."

Girlfriend: "I just wish that you would at least take some of my knights with you."

Girlfriend: "Well the offer will always stand, just so you know."

Girlfriend: "Looks like nothing reopened, but don't take that as a sign that you're fine again."

Girlfriend: "Wait wait, keep your shirt off."

Girlfriend: "Because I'm gonna put some cream on the smaller scratches and scars."

Girlfriend: "It won't make them disappear, but it will still help."

Sounds of her opening a bottle of cream and putting it in her hands.

Girlfriend: "Now this will also cool you down just so you know."

Sound of her gently rubbing the cream on the listener.

Girlfriend: Giggles. "Told you."

Girlfriend: "Oh really?"

Girlfriend: "So now all of a sudden you want to stay in bed?"

Girlfriend: "I'll keep that in mind then."

Girlfriend: "I can't turn this into a real massage love."

Girlfriend: "Because I'm afraid I might hurt you."

Girlfriend: "Remind me when you're recovered and I'll give you one okay?"

Girlfriend: "If you want we could even go to that cabin on the outskirts of the kingdom."

Girlfriend: "It's been so long since we've last gone there."

Girlfriend: "I think it would do both of us some good."

Girlfriend: "I get to finally have a break from all of these meetings, and you'll get to relax your battle-weary body."

Girlfriend: "Just no one but us, with no tasks, and no worries."

Girlfriend: "It's not quite winter yet, but I'm sure it would be just as lovely to cuddle up in front of that fireplace."

Girlfriend: "Then we can read each other our books as we get cozy."

Girlfriend: "I'm sure our progress would speed up quite a bit."

Girlfriend: "I know, the last time we read 5 books there."

Girlfriend: "And we can do that cooking thing again."

Girlfriend: "I love trying out the dishes you heard about on your adventures, and it's so fun to try and put my own spin on them."

Girlfriend: "Perhaps I'll even discover a new favorite."

She stops and closes the cream bottle.

Girlfriend: "There, now you can put your shirt back on."

Sound of the listener putting their shirt back on.

Girlfriend: "I'll be back in one moment, just gotta do something."

Sound of her leaving the room.

Girlfriend: "Excuse me, maid."

Girlfriend: "Yes you."

Girlfriend: "Could you please call the head maid?"

Girlfriend: "Tell her that they said yes to the trip, so I'll need my travel outfit ready and the ring packed up."

Girlfriend: "Yes that will be all."

Girlfriend: "Thank you."

Girlfriend: "Coming love!"

Sound of her entering the room again.

Girlfriend: "Sorry about that, I just forgot to do something earlier."

Girlfriend: "No, it was just something boring."

Girlfriend: "How about we lie down?"

Girlfriend: "We could cuddle and slowly dose in each other's arms."

Girlfriend: "If you're not feeling sleepy, how about we finish our book?"

Sound of them cuddling up under the blankets.

Girlfriend: "I bet we'll both be out like a light after only two chapters, like always."

Girlfriend: "That wasn't me, you were the one that fell asleep on the book."

Girlfriend: "Whatever, the book didn't get crumpled so it doesn't matter."

Audio slowly fades out as she talks.

Girlfriend: "No I want to hold the book."

Girlfriend: "Because you're still recovering."

Girlfriend: "So? I don't want you to strain your hands and wrists."

Girlfriend: "Let's just start reading."
