Post Body

Hey, since I don't have anything else to share at the moment, here is a little script I wrote for a friend who wanted to try voice acting once. Sadly he didn't list his video publicly, even though it was quite good...

As always, you are free to voice, perform, fill, or whatever else you might want to call it, this script as you please, as long as you do not hide it behind a paywall. I would love to receive a link to the finished product, I enjoy seeing what other people make of my stuff

Changes you can make: I do not put particularly much care into my titles, so feel free to name it something different. If you do, please put the original name in the description or something. Any SFX I include are optional. Most of my scripts do not specify the gender of the speaker and the listener, but you are free to define either of them, e.g. by introducing pet names such as “good boy/girl”. I also don’t really mind you going a bit off script, as long you preserve the “spirit” of the script.

Also, I am always open to feedback, be it about the script itself, specific phrases, or about the format and better ways to provide the script to VAs.

Summary: You went into the forest, following rumors of a fae court that was supposed to reside here. Just as you were skulking around a tree, you suddenly feel a grasp on your shoulder.

For the VA: The Speaker is a typical Fae. Chaotic, easygoing, and at the same time joking and serious. They are initially suspicious of the listener, but find themselves intrigued by them and try to lure them back into their realm.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Speaker: *close whispering* “And just what do we have here?”

Listener: *scared*

Speaker: *normal voice* *laugh* “You jumped away so quickly! Did I scare you, rat?”

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “What else would I call someone who I find skulking around my territory? Hiding like a rat in the shadows of these ancient trees, the name fits you perfectly. So tell me, rat, what are you doing here? And don’t tell me you just so happened to get lost and ended up here. I get that excuse way too often! And I know for a fact that you human’s closest settlement is two days away.”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “Oh? So you admit that you were searching for my realm. That is… new… Interesting even…. And I like interesting things. Tell me, rat, what were you hoping to find? Wealth? Forbidden knowledge? Eternal youth?... Don’t tell me you came here to find yourself a… boyfriend? Girlfriend? Whatever you humans like to call your mates nowadays.”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “You… want to hear the famous music of the fae?... You keep surprising me, little human. If what you say is true, of course. Let me look into your eyes and find the lie woven into your words.”

[Pins the listener against the tree]

Speaker: “Don’t squirm, human. I am only holding you against this tree so I can get closer to your face. Look at me. I can’t do this if you keep avoiding my gaze!”

Listener: *explains*

Speaker: “Embarrassed? Just because I got so close to you?” *laughs* “So innocent, so pure! And you thought you could handle a fae like that?”

Listener: *answer*

Speaker: “Oh, you didn’t think about that? Well, you should have! Stories of the mischievous fae are well known among your people, no? About our pranks, our deals, and how we like to seduce and devour the poor souls who stumble into our forests?... Speaking of which, my name is Thynnur, may I have yours?”

Listener: *silent*

Speaker: “Oh, so you at least know better than to fall for that trick. I would have been disappointed otherwise.”

Listener: *request*

Speaker: “Let you go? And why would I do that? I’m having way too much fun right now. And didn’t you want to hear our music? Don’t tell me just one encounter with an actual fae was enough to break your resolve?”

Listener: *answers*

Speaker: “You don’t care? Fine then. Go. I won’t stop you. But don’t look back until you leave my territory! That’s kind of the law around here, nothing to be done about that.”

[Footsteps]

Listener: *question*

Speaker: “Why am I following you? What an interesting question. I am just taking a walk across my realm. Besides, I am keeping my distance behind you, so don’t worry about me snatching you… Uh uh uh, eyes up front! Remember the rules!”

[Short pause]

Speaker: “Fine, ignore me. But, you know, it really is a shame that you won’t get to hear our music. Even I get entranced every time I hear it, even though I listen to it every day. The wonder a human like you must feel… It’s hard to even imagine…”

[humming/whistling/singing]

Speaker: “What am I doing? Just… humming a little tune. I am not a musician though, so I guess this inferior copy of fae music is all you’re going to get out of your little trip. Such a shame…”

[Footsteps stop]

Speaker: “You stopped? Do you really think that is a good idea? You might be tempted to turn around, you know? And don’t you know better than to break the rules of the fae?”

Listener: *slowly turns around*

Speaker: “Your head is tu-urning. You better sto-op this…. Oh, you won’t? Do you want to take one last look at my realm?... Fine, do it at your own risk.”

Listener: *looks back*

Speaker: *very close* “Gotcha!... You’re mine now, human!”
