Author's note: Happy pride month! I know not everybody enjoys make-up, but I’m hoping some people will be able to at least live out the fantasy of wearing some, with this, when their surroundings don’t allow it. It’s a form of self expression, after all. 

Also; you do NOT need to be part of the lgbtqia community to use this script! This could also be a cishet speaker supporting their ace/bi/trans/… partner. Queer relationships come in so many different shapes and colors, which is what makes them so beautiful ^^

Introduction (for listeners): Today is the pride parade in your city and both you and your (partner/boyfriend/girlfriend) have been really excited about it! You already have your outfit done, and now comes the time for your partner to do your pride make-up.

Summary (for speakers): You love and support your partner dearly, whether or not you, too, are part of the community. You have been reading up on make-up, since you’ve been wanting to do your partner’s for a little while now, and you figured pride might be the perfect opportunity for it. There, nobody will judge the two of you. It also means getting to play with fun, bright colors!

I could either do a rainbow design, or any of your pride flags!

I mean, in the end, it’s up to you.

It’s your face and I won’t tell you what to do with it.

I was looking up some designs on my phone, the other day.

Some of them I tried on myself, to see how they might come out with the different colours and my skill set…

Feel free to look through the collection a bit and pick something that speaks to you.

Of course, you’ll have to imagine them in the right colours…

But I tried to find stuff that would work with either flag.

Tons of glitter and it’s really intricate. I love the eyeliner here…

This way the colours are going to pop even more and you won’t get too much of the pigment stuck in the creases.

[sfx: now start continuous, gentle strokes with a fine eyeshadow brush, with small pauses in between to re-apply the colour/clean the brush and pick a new shade. The strokes make most sense and are best audible in the pauses during speech. I’ll tell you when to stop for good]

[note: feel free to make pauses between words/sentences a bit longer here. When people focus, it’s natural to speak slower and break sentences apart]

I’m honestly really glad I tried this on my own first. 

Otherwise, I probably would have sucked- 

And I wouldn't have known what order to use the colours in…

If you do it a certain way, they blend more nicely and you also don’t have to clean the pigment off the brush as often. 

Going in with the darkest shades last and using colour families makes this kind of stuff a lot easier.

[short pause]

Okay… I just have to blend this out a bit and get rid of some of the extra residue…

Don’t get startled, now. 

I’m going in with a big brush, to dust off your eyelids really quickly.

[sfx of small brush stop. Now, big feathery brush is briefly used]

Now, it’s just a tiny bit of extra detail.
