SCRIPT HERE-approximately 1200 words

This script felt very personal to write. I'll be honest, my eyes started watering while I was making the rough draft. I've recently become a legal adult, I've moved out on my own, I now have a job and bills and groceries to keep up with...things can feel overwhelming at times. Growing up is a scary thing for some people.

I did have plushies as a child, but I never named them or gave them personalities like most other kids. I don't know, I suppose I just had to grow up fast as a child. But now that I'm an adult, I do have plushies! They have names and little personalities. They help me in a multitude of ways. Sometimes it's easier to talk out my feelings with them just to get them out in the open instead of ruminating. I'm autistic and they're good to squeeze when I need sensory stimulation. Plus they're comfort items! I always carry one with me in my backpack. I wanted to bring that simple comfort of a plushie into this script. The feeling of a friend that's always there for you and always loves you, no matter what.

This script talked a lot about the future, which is a topic that scared me for a long time. It still does sometimes. The future is full of unknowns, and at some points in my life i didnt think I'd even have a future. I hope this script can bring some comfort to anyone out there who feels the same. Because look at me now! I'm still here, I'm feeling generally happier than I ever have before, and I have a wonderful community that supports my creative interests. To anyone out there reading this: I promise that your future is worth staying around for. It might be scary, but you just gotta hold onto that hope that everything will be ok. It won't be easy, but it will work out. I promise.

I know that was kinda heavy, but I like being honest about my thought process when it comes to writing. I hope you enjoy and thank you very much for reading.
