[Scene opens with the Star quarterback in the hospital]

"Well thanks doc. I do appreciate it."

[You see the childhood friend talking to the doctor]

"Oh, hey. How's it going?"

[You say that is what you were going to ask]

"Oh, well. As you can see, not to bad. I got this cool casts and all."

[You say Not that Bad? You hurt your throwing arm and leg]

"Well, I guess you have a point. That being said; I do appreciate you coming here. As of right now, your the only one."

[Your surprised that your the only one]

"Also, remember what I said about letting me have some time to figure out all those feelings?"

[You say yeah]

"Well, after today. I understand fully. I love you too."

[Your shocked by his response]

"Honestly your the only one outside of family that visited me. That shows that you loved my before, during, and after I became a quarterback."

[Pause]

"I know that just realizing this now is kind of a "little to little, and little to late" Scenario, but I don't care. I know now without a doubt how I feel about you."

[You hug him and say it's never too late]

"Huh? Does that mean...?"

[You say yes, but before you could say anything more he continues]

"You won't kick me out of the D&D sessions? *Sighs* Oh, what a relief."

[Pause]

"Um...That wasen't what you were talking about was it?"

[You shake your head]

"Okay, so I take it that it involves the other thing then."

[You nod]

"Well, I have to at least say this. I'm glad that you still have feelings for me. Although I still have to ask."

[You ask what?]

"Just so that we are clear. I'm not kicked out of the D&D sessions?"

[You nod]

"*Whew* That's a close one. Well, since I'm no longer a Quarterback now, is it ok if I properly ask you out?"

[She raises an eyebrow]

"Yeah, I know. With both these casts on; there's not much we can do. Maybe a movie? Oh, or possibly playing video games?"

[You say anything's fine]

"Anything's fine huh? Well in that case, We'll probably set up a D&D session followed by some Netflix? Maybe we can go to some "Chain restaurant?" What do you say? My treat."

[You nod]

"Yes. Best news I heard all day."

[You ask if he's really ok?]

"Well that's an out of the blue question. Am I ok? Why of course I am. I get asked by the cutest girl to be my girlfriend. How could it be any better?"

[You ask if he really means that?]

"Of course I mean that. Anyone who says otherwise just doesn't have taste."

[You hug him]

"Woah, careful. I'm still in my cast and all."

[You apologize]

"Hey, It's ok. Say, since I'm getting out in a day or so-"

[You ask why so long?]

"Hm? Well, they wanted to make sure everything was ok, and that there were no other issues."

[Pause]

"Apparently there was also slight concern for a concussion protocol. Obviously I was fine. They hit me in the arms and legs, not the head."

[you say better safe]

"True, true. So you ok with a few days from now?]

[You nod]

"Good."

[He kisses you gently]

"You know, I think I could get use to you being my girlfriend. Someone who's sweet and kind."

[You say you got to go]

"Yeah, Visiting hours are almost up. Well, great seeing you. Love ya."

[You walk out as it fades to black]
