[Scene opens up with going into your home and finding your friend there]

[SFX: door opening then closing]

"Well by the sound of it, It seems like your date didn't go well."

[You sit down]

"So tell me, how bad was it?"

[Pause]

"That bad huh? Well it could of been worse; She could of stood you up."

[You facepalm]

"Wait, she did stood you up? Oh man dude. I mean, I know some of the times you went on dates they ended pretty roughly but this?"

[Pause]

"Hey, do you want to talk about it."

[You shake your head]

"No? Well, is there something you want to do? Maybe play a little smash bros.?"

[Pause]

"Come on dude, the silence doesn't suit you. Does getting stood up really take that much of a toll on you?"

[Pause]

"I may seem like a broken record in saying this...again, but look on the bright side. At least you found out now and not waste anymore time or money on her."

[You try to pull yourself together]

"There you go. Take it in stride, don't let this one loss put you down. There are plenty fish in the sea."

[You lean forward and start to cry]

"Oh, man. Was it something I said? I'm sorry dude. If it makes you feel any better, I kind of know how you feel."

[You ask if she does]

"Well of course I do. Hard to believe it, but I have been stood up multiple times."

[You talk about the other times]

"Well true, You haven't had a lucky streak with the woman yet. Don't let it but you though. Your a really sweet guy and any girl would be lucky to have you."

[You respond really?]

"Of course really. I know this hurts right now. It's just the way of life I guess."

[SFX: Pat on your back]

"Trust me, You are a good guy. Although in the meantime, is there anything you want to do right here, right now?"

[You ask for a hug]

"A hug? Sure?"

[Your surprised]

"What? Never hugged a bro before? It's not too awkward for me. So, bring it in."

[Pause]

"Come on dude, Don't leave me here with my arms open like this. Bring...it...in."

[Pause]

"Ugh! I can tell this needs some coaching."

[She pulls you in and holds you tightly]

"There, now doesn't that feel better?"

[SFX: Rubbing on her shoulder]

"Uh, dude? You ok?"

[She hears you gently crying]

"*Inner monologue* Woah, this one must of really broke him up. Ok, just do what you normally would do in this situation."

[She clears her throat]

"I...um...*Sigh* Okay, I know how this will end."

[She rubs your back]

"There there, just let it out dude."

[She gently hushes you]

"It's ok, You'll be fine. I got you. No one will bother you here right now."

[You apologize]

"Hm? What for?"

[For messing up her shirt]

"Ah, no biggie. I'm use to my shirt getting dirty. A few tears doesn't bother it."

[Pause]

"So, You good? Got it all out?"

[You nod]

"That's good."

[SFX: Rubbing back]

"Hey, don't feel like you have to hold that in. We bros got to stick together after all."

[You ask why she always refer to herself as "Bro"]

"Huh? Why do I always refer to myself as Bro? I guess it's just an old habit."

[SFX: knuckles cracking]

"Too often with other guys, they just refer to me as one of the Bro's. In some more worse cases, like a little brother. I mean, I can have a bit of a hot temper, but a little brother."

[Pause]

"It's just gets so irritating."

[You try to cheer her up]

"I guess you have a point. Sometimes, you just need a really good friend. Someone to rely on, and to handle some the the overbearing tasks at hand. I mean, that's why most guys love sports right? It's a way for them to bond and see past certain differences."

[You look confused]

"Okay, You know how there are some guys that love talking tough. Sometimes they even rip on you, making fun on asking a "Drop dead gorgeous" babe to go out with you. Only to be rejected, You want to know why they do that?"

[You nod]

"Unless there really mean, the reason is to build your tolerance. If you get rejected by some runway model. You'll know the pain, and grow from it. Think of it as a rose bush, the only way for it to thrive is to nearly kill it."

[You have doubts of how it works]

"Hey, it's just an example. Anyways, I hope the next girl you ask won't be as cruel as that one."

[Pause]

"So, any plans on asking anyone soon?"

[You shrug]

"I guess that's for the best. Don't want to risk it, after all."

[Pause]

"*Sigh* So, I might regret asking this; but..."

[You ask what?]

"Okay, promise you won't freak out ok?"

[You promise]

"Okay, it's just if your interested; Maybe we can go on a date?"

[Pause]

"I know this might come across as weird, considering it's right after you got blown off but..."

[Pause]

"The truth is...I like you."

[You say you like her to]

"No, I don't mean that I like you. I LIKE you. You know, like you, like you."

[You look in confusion]

"Your really going to make me say it? Okay. I...love you."

[You look at her with doubt]

"Hey, I'm serious. I know we've been BF's forever and all. It's just I had feeling for you."

[Pause]

"Arguably I had feelings for you since we met."

[Pause]

"I know that it's seems like I might be trying to make you feel better, but I'm telling the truth. I do love you."

[You still look at her in doubt]

"Still don't believe me? All right then. I'll prove it to you."

[She leans in and kisses you]

"There, if that doesn't prove anything I don't know what-"

[You kiss her back just as lovingly]

"Woah, didn't think you had it in you."

[You apologize]

"No, no, no. You don't have to apologize. If anything I should probably apologize for kissing you like that."

[You say it's fine]

"Is it? Is it really fine? I mean, I could of lost my best friend. The only one I really cared about. Arguably something I could not live with-"

[You say you love her]

"Love...Me? You mean it?"

[You nod]

"Your really ok with a brute like me being your girlfriend?"

[You nod]

"Oh, honey. Come here~."

[She kisses you lovingly]

"So, What do you want to do now, boyfriend?"

[You ask for some snuggling]

"Snuggling? Sure~. I'm game."

[She giggles as it fades to black]
