LISTENER responses are “...”. I really only put M4A or F4A because I want to have the pronouns of the speaker and listener different so it isn’t confusing. The room's all clear. Honestly, I'm not surprised, your fans are always all over you. I bet they don't even understand the damage they are doing to your image. Even if it's just those fan edits or the alarming amount of theories.

Well, I decided to keep up with that stuff ever since you showed me. If I'm more aware of what's going on I know what to expect, but now it’s obvious that I’ve been trying to keep my distance. At least one of us has to think before acting. My job is to protect you. And you're making it a lot harder than it needs to be by enabling your fans.

Well then, I don't think either of us is handling this better if the gossip magazines have caught on. Next thing you know your manager will confront you and… well I don’t know what will happen after that.

(pause)

I just… hate this. I want to go on dates in public with you, I want to be able to spend more time with you without thinking about schedules, hell I just want to be able to walk with you in a park without fear of you getting hurt. It's selfish, I know. I want to have you all to myself yet make sure you never get hurt again. Everything comes down to me wanting to be with you through everything, but it's not possible.

You need to care about what your manager thinks. You've got such a high platform, why would you even think about sabotaging it?

No, that's enough. Stop putting your feelings first and think about your future.

Our future together should not be more important. Think rationally for once. We are supposed to be professional. I've always tried to be the responsible one but I slipped up. I should have been better about it. I messed up because of my stupid hope for something more than being your guard. Maybe I should have kept my feelings for you to myself!

I… I'm sorry. I've been thinking about this for a long time. Is it even considered a long time if we only dated for a little over a month? The first week was fun, scrambling around and hoping not to get caught. You always make even the most stressful situations more easygoing. But we got into this without thinking ahead. It can't be this way forever.

I hate seeing you cry, and I wanted to make sure at least I wouldn't be the cause of it. I wish I could tell you that I want to break up. That I've fallen out of love with you or you've irritated me one too many times. Maybe then it would be easier for you to cut me off. But I can't because I do love you. You're irritating with your mischief and unrelenting hope, but you're my best friend. I said this before, I don't mind not being with you the way I want, as long as you're in my life.

Oh, go right ahead. No one’s sitting there. It got pretty packed in there all of a sudden, didn’t it? It kind of ruins the whole peaceful cafe ambiance but I’m glad they have a patio out here- What are you doing here?!

(loud whisper)

What are you doing here? What do I have to do to get rid of you?!

Why am I not surprised? I was counting the days without one of your reckless antics and you couldn’t get beyond a week. But really? The cliche sunglasses and cap to hide from paparazzi?

(bitter)

Oh yeah, I guess I am now because of your fans. So, what do you want?

And I know how much your fans want you to leave the company too. And you've made your hatred for it very apparent, even if you only give sentence comments. I mean it's obvious that your company uses you, like how they made you date that other- OH! Wait, that singer you pretended to date is also in the same company. Correct me if I'm wrong, but since your manager knew your contract was ending, they tried to get you even more popular with that dating drama in hopes that you'll stay?

This was actually really tricky to write for it to make sense in legal terms and drama and all of that. It took way too long to write and I had to take a lot of breaks but it was worth it to make sure the two stayed together.

I loved writing their chemistry, one being the levelheaded responsible (but still dorky) one and the other being more easygoing and a bit impulsive (but with a method to their madness). Especially since they balance each other out and better one another. Writing their banter is so fun. The only idea I have for a part 3 is if the listener gets shot-....... *ferocious typing sounds*
