Context: You've found an incredible deal on an apartment and just moved in! It's so exciting to have your own place, and you're just getting settled in on this night. Sure, it's not the best neighborhood. Sure, the landlord mentioned some crime, but you're not too bothered. After all, what's the worst that could happen? A werewolf mob boss is what happened. You saved the pureblood werewolf known as Fane and he thanked you. You thought that was the last time you'd see him. You were wrong. And wrong again. And now he's invited you to a mobster gala as his date tonight. And, again... you were wrong.

[Scene opens back in the Gala]

[SFX: Gunfire, return gunfire, chaos]

[Fane transforms under your touch. Growing, his body completely engulfed in that tell-tale white fur. You spot Enzo nearby. He does a doubletake and rushes over like a man possessed]

[E] “Fane! FANE! Godamnit, don’t fucking transform here, you’ll take out the entire-!”

[SFX: Enzo getting slugged]

[F] “OUT OF MY WAY, AGOSTI! I don’t know who these clowns are, but I’m going to make them regret ever flapping their gums!”

[Pause!]

[F] “RRGH! You don’t get to judge me when I’m protecting what’s mine! So you best get your ass somewhere else before I-!”

[SFX: Fane getting bodied]

[Enzo comes up behind him and gives him one Hell of a suplex]

[E] “No, you DON’T!”

[SFX: Crashing and gunfire]

[E] “Hate having to suplex you, Fane, but you need a clear head! Now, c’mon, let’s take these fuckers out!”

[SFX: Gunfire, chaos, action]

[An absolute war breaks out in the Gala while you cower behind a table, bullets whizzing by. You can’t see much, but you see a wild-eyed young man at the epicenter, firing without any coordination]

[E] “Xavier! Xavier, calm DOWN, this isn’t-!”

[Fane roars and charges the young man, taking an ocean of bullets in the process before he gets the poor boy by the head and slams him down]

[F] “YOU’RE GONNA REGRET LIVING THROUGH OUR LAST ENCOUNTER, YOU LITTLE SHIT! REGRET IT MORE THAN ANYTHING YOU’VE EVER REGRETTED!”

[Don] “Fane, for fuck’s sake-! Nngh! Baby, get to cover, your little peashooter isn’t gonna do nothing against Tommy guns!”

[Pause!!]

[Though they’re hesitant, Baby does take cover beside you]

[Don, with a crazed laugh] “Ooh, it has been a WHILE since I’ve had to type out a will on a Chicago fucking TYPEWRITER!”

[SFX: More gunfire, Donnie being Donnie]

[As you look around, Daisy vaults beside you and Baby with a finger to their lips. There’s a pause before Daisy turns to you and…]

[D] “Alright, you two. Stick with me. We don’t need our husbands getting themselves killed while trying to show off.”

[Pause?!]

[Daisy laughs, loading a handgun]

[D] “Yes, I talk. Why is that surprising?”

[...]

[D] “Yeah, I wouldn’t worry about the, erm, absurdity of the situation for now. C’mon, most of their little gang has retreated. Their leader is hardly a kid… And he’s going to die if we don’t get him out of there. Baby, I know your maternal instincts are firing on all cylinders, so-”.

[?!??!?]

[Daisy appraises you for a moment]

[D] “What do you do? You stay here. Get to safety. Fane’s in ballistic mode, and with what’s in his blood, nothing is going to snap him out of it!”

[SFX: Violent werewolf snarling]

[E] “Fane! Back off the kid, he’s hardly moving!”

[SFX: Violent crashing, snarling, and things breaking]

[D] “Welp. Looks like we have to do this shit… anime style.”

[????]

[D, with a chuckle] “Yep. Let me show you some stuff a very stern kitsune and her silly Oni husband taught me. Hey, FANE!”

[Fane whips around, snarling hard enough that he’s nearly foaming at the mouth]

[SFX: A rush of air, tremendous amounts of things shattering at once, and Fane getting bitchskipped]

[Daisy vaults the table and bursts forward, so fast that you only see Fane go skidding. So fast that the air is still full of things that haven’t had a chance to shatter or fall yet]

[D, sticking their tongue out slightly] “C’mon, big boy! You’re far from the first werewolf I’ve made whine, and you ain’t gonna be the last!”

[Note: Relegating them doing DBZ fisticuffs in the background]

[D] “Baby! Doll! Get the little twerp already, will you?!”

[SFX: Footsteps hurrying across the floor and shattered remnants of the Gala]

[The boy groans weakly as you two heft him up and try to drag him away]

[F] “NO YOU DON’T, XAVIER! NO, YOU FUCKING DON’T! YOU TWO LEAVE HIM RIGHT WHERE HE IS SO DADDY FANE CAN FIX HIS FUCKING ATTITUDE PROBLEM!”

[SFX: Fane charging Doll and Baby down]

[Don] “BABY!”

[D] “Hey! Come back here and fight me!”

[Though you’re terrified, you know Fane. You stand your ground and, to your surprise, Baby does too. Fane seizes both of you in either hand]

[F] “Now I got you, saucy stand-ins, in either hand, so don’t make me fucking TOSS YOU clear across the city to give this little fucker what he deserves! He’s earned it! TEN THOUSAND TIMES OVER! YOU HEAR ME, XAVIER?! YOU’RE NOT EVEN GONNA GET BURIED NEXT TO YOUR SIBLING!”

[Pause!]

[SFX: Fane growling under his breath]

[F] “Doll… Now is not the time to be messing with my fucking tie…”

[Pause!]

[F] “Wha-?! Yeah, I know you just got it for me! Blood washes out of ties!”

[Pause!!!]

[F] “Oh my fucking God, FINE! Help me fix the fucking thing, but that ain’t gonna stop me from massacring that little shithead… Understand?”

[...]

[He outright snarls that time]

[F] “... No. You don’t get to ask me to spare his life just cause you saved mine.”

[Pause]

[F] “A kid?! A kid?!?! I was running trafficking deals at his age, you think the world cares about how old or young someone is?!”

[...]

[He huffs]

[F] “...Fine. I’ll put Baby down, at least… Here.”

[He sniffs a few times and his ears lower]

[F] “...Donnie… They got hit. Ain’t too bad, in the hip, no poison or shrapnel. Medic’s in the third room on the left, second story.”

[SFX: Donnie hurrying over and scooping Baby up]

[Don] “It’s OK, It’s OK, It’s OK, It’s OK, It’s OK, It’s OK, It’s OK, f-fuck, h-having a hard time breathing, c’mon angel, c’mon, Donnie’s got ya.”

[He picks them up and hurries off]

[...?]

[Fane exhales through his nostrils]

[F] “Will I calm down, now?”

[SFX: MANY guns cocking at once]

[F] “Well, considering I’ve got four or five different mobster families holding firearms on me, I guess I don’t have much of a choice… ‘Specially not while I’m holding you. Also, Daisy? We’re going to have a chat about whatever nightmare shit you did there.”

[E] “No, you’re not.”

[D] “Lmao, I’m a bad bitch, you can’t kill me!”

[Enzo and Fane both groan. Daisy winks at you. 10 Charsima]

[F] “... I want to question him when he wakes up, Enzo. Understood?”

[E, with a groan] “Yeah, yeah… You gonna at least apologize for nearly breaking my damned jaw?”

[Pause]

[F] “Nah. Made me look sexy in front of Doll. Which is why I know you’re not going to apologize for benching me in front of Daisy.”

[E] “Fair.”

[D] “Hell yeah, it was.”

[Fane lights a cigar, hands shaking slightly]

[F] “Mrgh… I’ll call Vince and his boys. Sebastian has gone full punk but Giorno still has some sense. Maybe I can catch him when he’s not simping for his neighbor, huh?”

[E, snorting] “Yeah, good luck with that. Moonvale makes people simp for all sorts.”

[D] “Yeaaah it does.”

[Fane sighs again and wipes his mouth]

[F] “...Keep me posted. C’mon, Doll. Let’s go home.”

[E] “Be careful out there, big guy. Even you can get overwhelmed if enough eyes are on you.”

[F] “Yeah, yeah, Agosti… Take care, and get some ice on that glass jaw, huh?”

[...]

[SFX: Fane stomping back down to the limo and helping you get in. The limo starts up and putters off into the night]

[It’s quiet for a long bit in the limo. Fane won’t look at you]

[F] “... M’ sorry the night got ruined. That… everything got ruined…”

[Pause?]

[F] “No, I… I don’t know that we can do this anymore, Doll. That was… That was way too close, and you saw a side of me tonight that I never wanted you to see… You saw me at full wolf. Out of control, unable to be reasoned with… and I could’ve hurt you. I damned near crushed you, crushed Baby, and knocked Enzo stupid… to say nothing of what happened to that little ragtag bunch of thugs…”

[...]

[He’s quiet again until the limo pulls up to your building]

[SFX: The limo rolling to a stop and the car door being opened]

[Fane walks you to the lobby, somber]

[F] “...I’m sorry. Stay safe, Doll… For me, huh?”

[With that, he turns and vanishes back inside the limo. You briefly see him rubbing his thumb over the tie, ears down, before the limo pulls away]
