Context: you ask your Dwarf Childhood Friend if she would like to join your party. Although she is very happy at the idea, she doesn't show it at first, as you take her out of the tavern before she gets into trouble...again.

[Scene opens up in a tavern as you find your childhood friend]

[SFX: Chugging a drink]

"Ah, Nothing like the tavern's specialty in order to keep ya spirits up."

[She notices you in the distance]

"hm? Oi! Over here!"

[You get closer to her]

"Great to see ya again. How ya been?"

[You mention that you have been fine]

"*Slight laughter* I'm glad. Still tryin' out that adventuring are ya?"

[You nod]

"Good to hear. I assume that you probably already started a party by now eh?"

[You mention that you have an elf in your party, to which she almost spits out all her booze]

"AN ELF? ARE YA DAFT? YA CAN'T TRUST ELVES! Sneaky bunch they are."

[You mention that she is very nice]

"Oh, that certainly explains a lot of it. Let me guess; she comes up to ya with eyelashes batting and says something on the lines of "Please adventure, join my team; and together we can do great things". I guarantee ya, when thing's get tight. She'll bail on ya. Trust me."

[She notices that her mug is empty]

"*under her breath* As if nothing more can go wrong *yells to bartender* Oi! Barkeep, another pint if ya please."

[SFX: Mug setting down on table]

"Ah, Much better."

[She starts drinking as you ask her for a favor]

"No can do, as much as I like to humor ya with the possibilities of traveling with ya. I just can't. I got a massive back log of Jewels to be tested, weapons' that need to be made, and let's not forget, your last endeavor . . ."

[You look down trying not to remember the last time you asked her for a favor]

"Besides, your probably going to be all tied up with little miss Please-help-me-out-adventurer. Ya don't need a tall dwarf like me around."

[You mention that she's only four foot 10]

"Hey, that's really tall for dwarven woman. I'm practically a freak of nature to other Dwarves."

[You ask if she wants a hug.]

"Where did that come from? Seriously, I'd never heard ya offer me a hug for as long as I knew ya."

[You ask her again as she tries to hide her red face]

"I-I mean, I wouldn't say no to ya, but-"

[She gets knocked over by someone walking behind her, spilling all her beer]

[SFX: laughter]

"All right. Which one of ya gone and wasted a perfectly good pint?"

[SFX: Axe being pulled out, or Dagger]

"I'm warning ya, don't mess with a dwarf who has just lost a pint of her favorite-"

[You pull her from behind and take her outside]

"Wha-? What are ya doing? Put me down, Put me down!"

[You take her outside]

"What did you go and do that for?"

[You mention that you didn't want her to be thrown out of another tavern again.]

"Oh, come on. What are the chances of me being thrown out of another tavern? Epically since I'm such good friends with the owner of this fine establishment?"

[You also state that you don't want to see her hurt.]

"Come on, for as long as ya known me; how many fights have I have been in?"

[You mention a number]

"And how many of those fights have I lost?"

[You mention none of them]

"Exactly, simply put; it would take more than a couple of hammered adventurers to stop me. Especially since they know that I don't take lightly to bullies. Remember how we met?"

[You mention that you did, how she helped you stand up to some bullies]

"Precisely, some snot nose kids were bothering ya, and all I had to do was bark at them yelling "Oi! leave that youngster alone." and off they ran."

[You mention that she was only a few years older than you]

"Ok, granted I only have a few years over ya, but that didn't stop me right?"

[You nod]

"Precisely."

[Pause]

"I don't mean to change subjects, but you haven't been around these parts for a while. Why did you really come back?"

[You mention the favor that you wanted to ask her]

"Sill trying to get a favor out of me, huh? *Sighs* Alright, I'll hear ya out what's the favor?"

[You ask her to join your party.]

"Are you daft? Me joining your party? With an elf no less? Why would I ever humor the idea?"

[You mention that you wanted someone special in your party]

"Special? Me? Oh, I get it. An old childhood friend traveling with the young adventurer as they go out to fight many wicked creatures of the night, and once the friend build's up courage to say "I Love you." you'll go falling' for some tall beauty and leaving me all by myself...*under her breath* again"

[You look at her with concern]

"And once this tall beauty drops ya, like an old sack of potatoes, you'll come crawling back to said childhood friend asking her for forgiveness. As she brushes you off knowing that you only see her as a friend and nothing else."

[SFX: rustling through her outfit and pulling out a flask, Drinks flask]

"Let me save ya the trouble. I refuse. No way, no how."

[You look down in sadness as she rejects your offer]

"Now look, I'm glad to see ya again, honest. But ya got to do a little growing up. I got jobs, bills and a heafty tab to pay off. I can't just go around adventuring with ya, for pennies a trip. I'm sorry"

[You plop down a massive bag of gold]

[SFX: gold hitting the ground]

"What is that?"

[Pause]

"No seriously, What is that?"

[She opens the bag to see it full of gold coins]

"Where did ya get all of this?"

[You mention that this was your last cut of the adventures guild and you wanted her to have it]

"Y-your giving me, these gold coins? I mean, there must be 70, no 80 gold coins in here."

[You mention that this cut was smaller than the last one, but the next one would be bigger if she joins]

"B-b-b-b-bigger? How bigger?"

[You mention the price as she faints, you go to her to see if she's all right.]

"All right? All right?! Consider me in!"

[She yells to her employer]

"Hey Smith..."

[She gets the attention of her boss]

"I quit!"

[She gives you a big hug as she cheerfully hums]

"No more tabs, no more debt, no more..."

[She realizes that she was hugging you and quickly releases and clears her throat]

"Let's just pretend that didn't happen."

[You smile and agree]

"Good, now about this elf, there's going to have to be some ground rules, no cuts on my pay for starter, and no massive flirting with ya in my presence."

[She thinks for a moment and continues]

"Also, is there anyone else in ya party?"

[You mention a female healer]

"A girl healer? Seriously, ya keep this up and people will be thinkin' your creating a harem and not a party."

[You two laugh as the two of you walk away]

[Fade to black]

Note: If you all want, I wouldn't mind doing a part 2, but only if you want. Still trying to work out where to go with this, but I figure this is a good start.
