Aloha! I'm stoked to know that I'm finally NIC certified! Now post-high and joy, I'm a little stumped... What now!
- I'm aware I receive a Newly Certified Packet (within 6-8 weeks)
- I researched and found out my CEUs cycle ends by 12/31/2026
- I can receive CEU's starting... now (I just finished a workshop that gives CEU's last month, can I add those CEUs in?)
- Should contact my colleagues, any agencies I'm established with, and re-neg freelance contracts to reflect my certification
- change my damn email signature!
Is there anything I'm missing?
Is there anything that you wish you knew when starting out that would've made the transition or being certified easy? I'm already thinking how to set-up a google doc or spreadsheet for collecting CEU's or is there an easy way to establish talking to folks? I'm open for resource and material sharing, or if there's any other websites or people that have already shared what to do next!
Mahalo,
Edit 1:
Newly Certified Packet
You can expect to receive a Newly Certified Packet from RID approximately 6-8 weeks after your passing performance exam and your results letter was sent. This packet will include your certificate and a congratulations letter. You should also receive an email when your new certification is added to your RID account with information about maintaining certification.
