Edit: I stoped talking it now. It turns out that my kidneys are not the way they should operate (according to my acupuncturist). This leads to high cortisol. The ashwaganda also with the kidneys and seems to have pushed me to feel overly emotional and uneasy. I got better within a week of stopping.
I am recovering from a burnout- and am noticing that a month after I started ashwaganda I have started to feel very emotional and anxious.
Have you had similar experiences ?
I have used ashwaganda in my past- I noticed about a year ago I felt especially emotional and clingy on days I took (typically I would take 1000 mg). After seeing that, I stoped talking it then.
Recently I started again and a month after I started taking ashwaganda (also at 1000 mg again) I have started to feel scared and generally an anxious person who is over thinking and too on edge…. It feels like I am reverting back to my burnout which I spent months getting out of.
I know the effect of ashwaganda is supposed to be the opposite and especially given my recovery from a burnout, I wanna do what’s gonna help me recover best.
So, I want to ask your opinions on what could be happening or what the reason could be. Is it the ashwaganda itself I could be getting a bad reaction to? Could it be something else?
I am going to stop the ashwaganda for a full week and see how I generally feel.
