The Count of Monte Cristo 2022 Reading Announcement
Post Body

The Count of Monte Cristo is a well known classic. It's part of the cultural lexicon and has influenced countless tv shows, movies and comic books. Most people have heard of it and know it as a tale of revenge. However, despite its fame, the book itself not always given the time of day and there have been few adaptions that capture the complex story of the novel. Monte Cristo is about revenge, but it is also about adventure, redemption, love and justice.

I am pleased to announce that a 2022 reading for the classic novel 'The Count of Monte Cristo' by Alexandre Dumas is starting over at r/AReadingOfMonteCristo on January 1st 2022. We have some new mods - u/dotheBenderBaby and u/evilwizards who will be leading the 2022 reading. We are still looking for additional mods for this reading as well, so if you would like to join, please dm me.

The reading schedule has changed slightly for 2022. Instead of a discussion post for every chapter, there will be one post a week, on Saturdays. Each week you will be asked to read a set of chapters (no more than three) which will all be discussed in the one post.

If you wish to read a chapter by chapter analysis, the links are provided in the sidebar to the full reading schedules for 2020 and 2021.

The posting schedule for 2022 is below, and will also be available in the sidebar.
