Post Body

A short little chapter that revealed just a tad bit more of the grand plan.

  1. The house that the Count bought previously belonged to Villefort. What could be the reasoning behind that? How could a house be used in a revenge plot?
  2. It also seems that Dantes is not the only one with a vendetta against Villefort. Dantes seemed surprised that Bertuccio also dislikes Villefort. Could he be feigning his surprise? Could Bertuccio be a part of this grand scheme?
  3. We also learned that Villefort's wife is long dead. Bertuccio had a clear reaction to that conversation. I wonder if he had anything to do with her death when he got his revenge on Villefort?

FINAL LINE: "Bertuccio remained standing before him"
