Discussion starters:
1.) Once again, the Count is singed by his own flames. We didn't hear anything about Providence, so do you think he has learned a lesson? At this rate, do you think the Danglars revenge scheme holds another hidden harm to him?
2.) How will "Busoni" help, and without making Villefort suspicious? It seems to me that a poisoning might have called for more timely help than spending a day buying, decorating, and repairing a house? How could the Count have been so sure about the timing to that she would live if she was still alive at noon?
3.) Do you think the way the Count spoke about the Villeforts and Valentine with almost criminal indifference will affect his relationship with Morrel, or is Morrel brushing it off since he helped after finding out?
4). Other points of discussion?
Final Line:
Workmen were immediately called in, and that same night the passengers at the end of the faubourg saw with surprise that carpenters and masons were occupied in repairing the lower part of the tottering house.
The next discussion will be up this Saturday.
