Sorry again for the late post.
Discussion starters:
1.) As people already have mentioned in previous chapters, the plot progresses at a staggering speed. Now again, we progress 100 days in 8 pages. So far I've heard only positive remarks about the pacing but are there also people who would have liked to go more in-depth at some parts or do we have an unanimous vote here?
2.) We got a glimpse of most of the characters back in Toulouse. Are you anxious to get back to Toulouse or do you rather see more of the political intrigues in Marseille?
3.) So far, we've seen multiple facets of Villefort's character. He's a calculating politician, the man who is responsible for Edmond's incarceration and a man who loves his father in spite of their political differences? What's your opinion of Villefort currently? Is he an evil villain, a flawed good guy or somewhere in the middle?
Final Line:
The South was ablaze, and to assist the father of a Bonapartist as dangerous as Dantès, even on his deathbed, was a crime
Next discussion will be up this Saturday.
