With the second (and possible final) round of Party Crashes arriving this weekend, my brother /u/SpritersBlock and I decided it would be a good use of our time to try and justify every unused matchup. Every. Matchup. We also did Party Crashes where the characters go up against themselves, just for fun.

Kid Cobra	Gym Rat Vs Skate Snake	A gym rat is someone that spends a lot of time in the gym, and snakes eat rats! ... SPRING MAN'S HARD!
Helix	Best Frenemies Follow-Up	Spring Man is the successor to Max Brass, and Helix was created by Dr Coyle. Max Brass and Dr Coyle are in-universe enemies.
Max Brass	The New Generation	Max Brass, according to the comics, is the second Spring Man. Our Spring Man is the third.
Lola Pop	Tricksters In Training	According to Spring Man's wiki page, he has a full 'jokiness' bar. And Lola Pop is, well, a clown.

Dr Coyle	Final Showdown	Would probably be the final Party Crash ever. Spring Man is the closest ARMS has to a main character, and Coyle is clearly the main villain.

Ninjara	In The Spotlight	Ribbon Girl wants to be in the spotlight, Ninjara wants to avoid it, because he's a ninja.
Master Mummy	Beauty And The Beast	Ribbon Girl is beautiful, but Master Mummy is more beautiful. Sorry Ribbon Girl.
Min Min	An ARM For A Leg	Ribbon Girl jumps a lot, which uses her legs, and Min Min kicks incoming ARMS away.
Mechanica	Fangirl Frenzy	Mechanica is a huge fan of Ribbon Girl.
Byte & Barq	Pitch Perfect Programming	Someone being pitch perfect means they can identify and recreate a music note perfectly. Byte & Barq are robots that use programming.
Kid Cobra	Young Superstars	Ribbon Girl is 17 and is a famous singer. Kid Cobra is 19 and is a famous snakeboarder/livestreamer.
Helix	Brand Deal	Helix has a line of soda drinks under his name. Singers like Ribbon Girl use brand deals to promote themselves and a given product at the same time.
Max Brass	The Face Of ARMS	Ribbon Girl sings the theme song, and Max Brass is the current champion.
Lola Pop	Feeling Jumpy	Ribbon Girl can multi-jump, and Lola Pop can shield in mid-air.
Misango	Fabric Fiasco	Both have ARMS made of common fabrics.
Springtron	Try, Try Again	Ribbon Girl went up against Spring Man in the first Party Crash, leading to the worst loss in ARMS history.
Dr Coyle	Sky's The Limit	Ribbon Girl can jump multiple times in the air, and Dr Coyle has a jetpack.

Ninjara	Ninja Logs	A common trope is that when ninjas teleport after being attacked, they leave behind a wooden log.

Twintelle	Stunt Doubles	Actors usually use stunt doubles to avoid filming risky shots themselves, and Ninjara utilises log duplication.
Byte & Barq	The Hunt Is On	Ninjara always tries to hide, and Byte & Barq are policemen who try to seek out lost items and criminals.
Kid Cobra	In Hiding	Ninjara's a ninja who's always hiding, and Kid Cobra's never shown his face to the camera.
Helix	Biology Class	Ninjara’s in college, which usually have biology as a subject. Helix is a walking biology experiment.
Max Brass	Final Exam	Ninjara entered the ARMS Grand Prix as a school project, so fighting Max Brass could be considered the final test for him.
Lola Pop	Strange Shields	Ninjara teleports while guarding, and Lola Pop can move forwards and backwards while guarding.
Misango	Silent But Deadly	Neither character is prone to speaking during battle.
Springtron	For The Belt	Ninjara and Springtron are both considered top tier by the ARMS community.
Dr Coyle	Teleporting Troubles	Ninjara can teleport, and Dr Coyle can turn invisible, which is like teleporting but worse.

Byte & Barq	Missing Person Report	Master Mummy is only joining the league to find his long lost family. As policemen, Byte & Barq should be experienced in, or at least able to, find missing people.
Kid Cobra	Fast And The Furious	Kid Cobra is the fastest character when charged up, and Master Mummy generally looks angry.
Helix	Monster Mash	Mummies and slimes are common monster tropes.
Lola Pop	Terrors Of The Night	Master Mummy is a mummy, a common spooky monster, and Lola Pop is a clown, which people are actually afraid of.
Misango	Spirited Away	Master Mummy uses spirits to heal himself, and Misango has a guardian spirit.

A swan song is the final act in someone’s career, which this could be for either fighter: According to an art piece, Coyle has been sending agents to find out what the deal is with Twintelle’s hair, but none of them ever report back.

Lola Pop	Life Of The Party	Both have very over-the-top likable personalities. Lola Pop has this as part of her career, and Max Brass is just like that naturally.
Misango	The Ultimate Fighting Style	Both fighters have a thematic emphasis on, well, fighting. Also a nod to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, released on the same system as ARMS, and another Nintendo property.
Springtron	Flex Vs Specs	Max Brass is muscular, and machines have "specs" to list their qualities.

Lola Pop	Sugar Rush	When someone eats too much sugar, they’re said to have a sugar rush.
Springtron	EMP Burst	When Springtron fully charges up, he releases a burst of energy. Lola Pop inflates like a balloon, which are known to burst.
Dr Coyle	Why So Sour?	Lola Pop has candy ARMS, which are sweet, and Dr Coyle’s attitude to basically anything could be described as sour. Also a play on “Why so serious?”, a quote from The Joker, who is also a clown.
Misango Vs
Misango	The Power Of Friendship	Misango’s ARMS are misanga, a good luck charm that’s made in the same way as friendship bracelets. At least, that’s what Wikipedia tells me.
Springtron	Out With The Old	Misango uses traditional misangan fighting techniques, while Springtron is a robot using EMP waves.
Dr Coyle	Destiny Calls	The Ancient Temples foreshadowed the entire ARMS cast and events, including Dr Coyle taking over.

Springtron	Version 2.0	When something is updated, it’s given an updated ‘version’. The idea is that Springtron is competing with his possible replacement.
Dr Coyle	Robot Uprising	A creation going against their creator, probably because of the above Party Crash.
