Tapejara flying around randomly when tossed out of soul ball?

Title says it all really using the Dino storage v2 mod for soul balls and everytime I toss a tapejara out it flys around randomly which wouldn’t be a problem but since I’m breeding them the male gets out of position and I can’t get as many eggs. Anybody know a fix or is this a know behavior?
