What's the purpose of corpses?

I'm more curious than anything, it's my first play through and I've just started my second base, no longer on the southern beaches so I'm pretty proud. I know there's a drag corpse thing, but why? I haven't tamed any biggies yet, save some triks. Are they for the big dudes? Do you use them as part of traps?
Also off topic but how the fuck do you share screen shots to your phone. I want to show off my cool balcony lmao
