So I made a promise to myself that if I were to ever jump to the AR10 world I’d never build and would just buy due to all the horror stories I’d read about parts not working together or fitting and just issues all the way around.

First question is from my reading the Aero’s follow the DPMS design and not the Armalite correct?

So here I am some years later awaiting a upper and lower from Aero Precision and piecing parts together. I am looking at using a Proof Research 18” .308 barrel and matching that with a JP bolt and carrier. This is all I have so far.

I was wanting to go 6.5 creedmore but don’t really want a 22” barreled ar and can’t seem to find anything but barrels over 20”. I am new to this world so be gentle.

Is there any other barrel manufacturers I should be looking at?
