I know the question posed in the title has been asked before but I'm looking for more detail in the comparison as it pertains to my personal situation. This will be my first AR10 style rifle and it will be used for elk hunting and target shooting.
For a complete rifle, I can get the PA for $900 and the Sig for around $1450. In your opinion, is the build quality and accuracy difference between the two worth $550? Also, for elk hunting - 100m , would the difference in barrel length make a noticeable difference?
From what I've gathered, the Sig is more accurate and has better build quality, but would be limited in customization when compared to the PA. For now, this will be fine because I won't be doing much more than mounting a scope. The key points here are, would the quality of life, and long-range practicality justify that significant difference in price? I'm leaning more towards the PA, but the mixed reviews when it comes to build quality and overall quality of life are cause for hesitation.
Thanks
