Xbox overheats during cutscene (RIP my playthrough)

After a certain section where Hugo uses some rats, the moment the cutscene plays my series X Xbox overheats and won't let me progress. Absolutely adore this game and series, but unfortunately it looks like I'm without a torch and can't continue until I figure out how to fix this! Worst part is holding B to skip the custcene isn't fast enough before it shuts down.
