should i take both macro and micro?

for background, i took ap macro sophomore year during covid and whatnot, through flvs (virtual school) and ended up not taking the test for a lot of reasons. this coming year, senior year, i'm taking micro so i was wondering if i should "self study" macro and take the exam, since i already took the course. obviously i'd still need to review and stuff but is it smart to take both micro and macro? like do the classes have things in common? any resources for macro i need? thanks
