I have been sitting on this pattern of winners since about cycle 18 when I realized something when Alisha quit. For me I realized about every 3 cycles a POC contestant wins. Cycle 3 Eva, Cycle 6 Dani, Cycle 9 Sal, Cycle 12 Teyona, Cycle 14 Krista, Cycle 18 would have been Alisha to have a POC and British winner, cycle 21 Keith, Cycle 24 Kyla. I don't think it was they judges who intended it to be this way, but production to ensure the BIPOC community was not outraged by constantly having a white person win. For winners like Jaslene, and Naima who are POCs, they won purely on their talent and gifts and they are winners who basically made production break the pattern because they are so good. As for all of the winners mentioned they deserved to win and did an amazing job on the show. I just find the pattern interesting and wanted to hear your thoughts, and see if I'm crazy for thinking there is a connection to this trend.
