Hi all Iām at a large bank in NYC metro area doing transaction monitoring. I currently am at $90K base salary, hybrid schedule 3x in office. My commute is 1-1.5 hrs one way to the office. With OT and bonus, my total comp is around $110K give or take.
Recruiter at a fintech startup recently reached out to me for a market conduct surveillance role and the first call went really well and she wants to move me forward and meet the rest of the team. Salary range is 100K-160K and fully remote.
Should I consider the move? Iām nervous about being at a startup and job security, lay offs, company going under etc. but Iād love to be fully remote. The role is not only doing surveillance but wearing multiple AML compliance related hats. Should I entertain the position? Any thoughts are appreciated.
