Anyone understand the pricing strategy @ AMC for the large popcorn & soda combo? Or candy for that reason?

It doesn’t make sense to me. Would they want to sell more and make more money overall on it especially from their stubs a list members? If I go 3 times a week they think I’m going to spend &16bucks each time for popcorn & soda? Or 7bucks for candy? I do not understand the logic when popcorn costs so little as well as soda.
