Okay this is getting ridiculous, for the past few years the earliest of Thursday Preview Night have been 5:00pm (mostly for kids films).
In 2018 it’s been bump up to 4:00pm starting with Ocean’s 8 and most of the kids films afterwards which it’s fine since kids don’t go to the movies on Thursday night at around 7th.
In 2019, Poms ended up getting a Thursday Preview night screening starting a 3:00pm for some reason was getting out of hand for me since having 3:00pm showings since it feels like the film is officially coming out on Thursday instead of Friday but luckily Poms was the only film in 2019 that started at 3:00 Thursday.
But somehow in a couple weeks, In The Heights will be having Thursday Preview Nights showings (which surprised me because all the other Warner Bros movies that were released this year didn’t get Thursday Nighty showings the night before its opening day due their films being released on the same day in theaters and HBO Max) starting at 2:00pm which it’s now getting out of hand. I hope Movie Studios don’t start their Thursday Preview Night super early where it ruin the purpose of Thursday preview night.
What is your thoughts on In The Heights getting Thursday preview night screenings starting at 2:00pm, do you think this is getting out of hand or this might be a one time thing just like the 3:00 showings was a one time thing when Poms came out?
