I paused notifications for all messaging and social media apps on my phone as I started watching the Academy Awards at a bit of a delay on Sunday night. I was almost caught up live with the show when my watch buzzed. I didn't think anything of it and looked at it to see that the AMC app sent a notification congratulating the Best Picture winner and advertising tickets to see the movie.

In case anyone from AMC is reading this, please don't do that next year. Wait a few hours or maybe even until the next day before spoiling it for anyone who had to pause or catch up with the show. That was an unexpected and poor marketing choice.
